This restaurant was recommended by a friend who said it was a highly rated Japanese restaurant in Bay Shore on Main Street. Nice ambiance and cosy setting could do well for date night or even a business meeting with semi private rooms separate from the main dining area.
After reviewing the long list of specialty hand rolls on the menu, I had every intention of having sushi and sashimi, until I was told that the specialty of the night was the Miso Sea Bass which is not always available. (I am a little bit of a skeptic with the sea bass, as I have had it prepared before at other places, and was disappointed. I still decided to try it . )
Started with the house salad, which I have to admit was very disappointing. The roughly chopped salad had too much dressing and considering both my brother and I ordered the same salad, they looked like they came out of different kitchens. The Miso Sea Bass made up for it, with a delicious flavoring, although I am not so sure the sides of carrots and broccoli added much to the presentation or taste. (Appetizers and entrees range in price form $9- $29, and the hand rolls average at about $14. Desserts are a mix of Italian and Western with only green tea and red bean ice cream as the "Japanese" selection)
