I think I am a reasonable person. I knew it was not a 2-star hotel, but I expected a reasonably, comfortable room. First, I made reservation, at least, one week ahead and I specified that I was going to be getting there late like 11pm, but they did not care and gave away all the rooms that had air conditioning. Obviously, no one understands that word, Reservation, anymore. It means to reserve a room for you. I can overlook dirty carpets. I can overlook that the elevator is probably one of the first elevators ever built. But, we got stuck in a room that the air conditioner did not work and to top it off, it was so loud that we had to turn it off for the night. The hotel staff was kind enough to tell me to open the window for the night when it was freezing temperature outside. I realized afterwards that Ramada allows franchises of their name to run-down hotel/motel that is willing to pay them franchise fee and royalty. I am not saying all their hotel/motel is like that, but I certainly will not risk booking with Ramada anymore.
