My wife and I stayed here in late August after the cabin we booked lost power after Hurricane Irene. Ecce had a generator.....yes, they HAVE thought of everything!
Our only regret is that we did not find this place earlier. A few nights was not enough! We had the Sunrise room with its own cosy balcony, perfect for river views or star watching. Although we did spend many hours sitting on the large terrace, sipping wine, watching the clear night sky.
Alan the owner could not do enough for us, the hospitality was simply outstanding.
Everything was spotless, the rooms and the bed very clean and comfortable and very well equiped with TV, DVD and fridge etc.
Breakfast on the terrace over looking the river and the mountains was mindblowing.
Ecce is perfectly situated to be enough out the way for absolute peace & quiet, yet a short drive will get you to local stores, restaurants and mountain activities. (although you could always stay and hike the 60 acres this B&B sits on with well marked paths)
If you have an image of B&B's being chintzy and outdated, this one simply re-writes the rule book. Its very modern, yet has loads of character and charm, lots of nice touches like complimentry brandy etc in the lounge! The furnishings are high end and luxurious and every possible need has been anticpated.
