We stay here for the night with some friends we hadn't seen for a long time.
The house is National Trust and the interior is beautiful and interesting. Sweeping up a long staircase you come to the rooms in the main house on the second floor. Our room was spacious and comfortable with an authentic aged charm. The bed was enormous and comfortable.
Dinner was extremely good - fine dining at its best. The duck was especially good. Dinner was a lengthy affair with drinks afterwards in the numerous drawing rooms in the house. Very relaxing.
Next day my wife tried the spa which she thought was very good. The pool looks inviting albeit the changing room was a bit cramped.
All in all an authentic country house experience.
