I absolutely love staying here. The staff is always friendly and go the extra mile. On my last visit as I was checking out I mentioned I was on my way to the nearby lake. The staff asked if I needed ice to fill my ice chest, and infact I did, took us to the kitchen and let us fill our chests from the icemaker. The rooms are small but cozy, with a wonderful with a huge jacuzi tub. Beds are comfortable, soft robes, wonderful smelling bathroom products. (bring your own conditioner if you need it though- the shampoo/conditioner leaves hair dry) They no longer have a resaurant but the Bella Luca Cafe is a short walk away and delicious with a great wine list! A VERY Romantic get-away!

Everyone here was so friendly and helpful. We stayed in the La Casita, which has privacy and it's own spa inside and outside. The outdoor spa was very relaxing in the evening before heading off to bed. The breakfast is healthy and delicious. Who wouldn't love cranberry, cocoa scones? Yum! The geothermal mineral water will leave you feeling relaxed with soft skin. The spa treatments are excellent and reasonably priced. The reflexology treatment by Toni is a must. This is the place to come and just be pampered by friendly staff and quaintness of the town.

Room Tip: The La Casita is the best place in the lodge. 2 Bedrooms with 2 large bathrooms and you can even ha...

I can only concur with the other very positive reviews. Amazed such a wonderful relaxing place exists in T or C given what you see of the area when you pass on I-10. Once you pull into the parking lot it's like being in another world. Even though most of the rooms are located in a central corridor, we didn't hear any other guests. This was equal or better than some B & B's we have visited in the Napa wine region and Monterey/Carmel. Service was excelent and welcoming....I am not a spa person but the mineral baths were so worth it to just relax with my spouse. Very romantic outside soaking tub, especially on a clear night. Robes provided in your room head down to the tubs and they give you a pitcher of ice water and glasses when you arrive at the tubs.

Our room was on balcony and modern, clean and romantic. Large two person tub is right there in the main part of the room. Rooms are air conditioned with nice furnishings. Separate sink/toilet room. Small flat screen TV (but who is there to watch TV?).

Small continental b'fast in the AM, which was good. We wish the restaurant was still open but were referred tot he Italian place down the street....which we loved as well.

This is a must return place for us...can't wait until we can visit again.

We loved the gracious and comfortable old hotel, the friendly welcome and of course the relaxing mineral bath at the end of a hot and tiring day. Home is Ottawa Canada, a long way away, but we still hope to be back some day to T or C and the Sierra Grande!

My wife and I stayed at this great establishment 2 nights in July. We didn't want to leave. The place is very well maintained and quite charming.

Room Tip: queen with the balcony!

The service was so well organized, but in a calm enjoyable way. Staying overnight we got an evening and a morning private soak 'prepared' for us... in the evening inside in a cozy room with ice cold glasses of water waiting at the side of the pool for us. In the morning we soaked outside in the sunshine, not far from the parking lot, but the SGL is masterful at creating spaces with walls, rock gardens, plants... everywhere is a beautiful retreat. Lovely local organic products to use in the room, local chocolates at the desk, homemade whole wheat blueberry muffins in the morning... thoughtful wonderful choices everywhere.
