This place was perfect. We stayed two nights in the suite, El Solecito. It was comfortable (the bed included) and homey, it and the main house were nicely decorated-- none of the garish artwork that outsiders often buy to impress tourists. There was a good selection of DVDs, magazines and books. Birdwatchers will enjoy the courtyards. It's an easy walk to the plaza, Moby Dickens, Brodskey's and Grahams. Our room was quiet day and night. Michael took special care to learn about food allergies and the breakfast and afternoon snacks were very very good; the tea and soda selections were a nice touch. The hosts, Brad and Michael were helpful, friendly, casual and not at all intrusive. Really, La Posada is charming in every way. I cannot recommend it enough. We make overnight trips to Taos from Albuquerque 2 or 3 times a year and of all the places we've stayed La Posada is the best.
