I am a local and visit this restaurant 2-3 times a year. Last night was full of missteps by the staff. I ordered my favorite, taquitos stuffed with mashed potatoes. They were bland without the promised seasonings. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes to await our table and trying to get a drink. The bartender only asked for our orders when the manager asked us if we had been served. All of the tap beers were out and only 3 bottle choices. Once at our table, our order was taken promptly, but no water. I asked 4 different wait staff for water. After being served our food, I reminded the waitress we needed water. After another 5 minutes, I walked to the bar and told the manager I had asked four people for water, and I still had none. The waitress, in a loud voice, said they were out of glasses! No one had communicated this fact. Within moments, our table was served in disposable cups. This seems like a small thing, but I was ignored by multiple wait staff for a request which should come with the menus. Next time, I'll bring my own glass.

I just would like to say that our staff works very hard to make the experience of dining at Antonio's a wonderful one. We strive to give the customer every accommodation they care for. For instance I know that you can attest to this fact by the manner we secured you and your five guests a table ion the patio.
I understand that it was a difficult night and every one in was working very hard. I am proud of the manner in which my staff conducted themselves. That being said they were all informed that a lack of communication will not be acceptable in the future. If we are out of something we will communicate that with the guest.( i.e. water glasses).
I just want to take a moment to acknowledge that we in Taos along with the rest of the south west are experiencing a serious drought. For this reason we do not and will not provide water to guest who do not care for water. It is a shame to see untouched glasses of water poured out. So we provide water upon request.
There is no excuse for having our valued guests feel the way you did. We appreciate the feed back and will consider ways to remedy the situation.
We would like to invite you back to ensure you we have considered the topics you mentioned and worked on them. So come on in and enjoy the best Mexican food in Taos.
