“Amazing, amazing food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Our last night in Taos, a family friend suggested to eat here. This was the best resaturant that we ate in Taos and certainly would recommend it to everyone. The location and atmosphere was great as it is right near the historic square. The food was amazing and didn't leave any of it to waste. Too bad we ate on the last day... we would have loved to have come here at least one - two other times on our trip.

“The thing I remeber best about our trip to Taos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

What you can't see in the photo above is the gorgeous view of a mountain that you have across that fountain. This is gourmet Mexican cuisine,it's not waht you get at every other restaurant. We went almost 8 years ago and Antonio treated us like royalty. The food was SOOOO good and we were enjoying it so much that he noticed and started bringing little dishes for us to taste from the kitchen. This man is an artist, like I still tell everyone of my friends who passes near Taos, you MUST eat at Antonio's.(I had to pick a date in order to post the review but I actually went a long time ago)

“Fish Fry at a Mexican restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

A little off the historic square, we chose this as an impromptu early dinner stop recommended by a saleswoman at a local jewelry shop. We enjoyed our food, especially the fried cod, which I would normally never order at a Mexican restaurant. Since it was highly recommended, I gave it a try, and was pleased. Sat near the cozy kiva fireplace. Did the tableside guacamole (kinda pricey), but it arrived too late (actually just before our plates were set in front of us). And they weren't that busy. But that was the only glitch. Otherwise a nice experience.

“OMG!”

The best Mexican food I've had in years! The service was just as special as the food. Thank you for a great meal.

“Worth a detour!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

We had an early Saturday night dinner at Antonio's. We chose it because of its TripAdvisor rating and were not disappointed. We shared two main courses, both outstanding, a pollo con mole, and one of their specialty dishes, Enchiladas de Huitlacoche. Both were great.

Good margaritas too and very nice ambiance by the fireplace. We'd certainly come back.
