“Excellent breakfast in Taos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

We dined at Taos Diner II for breakfast twice while in Taos. The servers are friendly and fast and the menu is very diverse. You can order traditional New Mexico fare or egg dishes or even yogurt and granola. I ordered the Yogurt-Granola-Fruit plate (outstanding presentation, see the photo!) and returned the next day to try the Huevos Rancheros with red & green chili (Christmas). There isn’t much heat in either chili (I like my chili hot); but it’s very flavorful.

“Fantastic breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Stopped in based on TA reviews. It was a little busy but not enough to have to wait. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. The wait staff never stopped moving and did a good job of checking in at the table. I ordered the breakfast combo which included a Cheese Enchilada, a Chili Relleno, beans (substituted a biscuit with no problem) and 2 eggs scrambled. The Relleno was one of the best I've had. Not too heavily battered but it stayed crisp until the last bite. The biscuit was homemade and delicious. The entire meal actually ranked among the best breakfasts I've had at a restaurant. I know that's big praise for breakfast but it was really that good and I am a breakfast person.

The price of the meal was very fair, the service was friendly and efficient and the breakfast was fantastic. I will be visiting the Taos Diner II every time I'm in the area and guarantee I will be having breakfast there again tomorrow before leaving Taos.

“Good breakfast, great service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Food is average, service is very friendly. Decent meal but wouldn't go to far out of my way for it. Typical Taos-type diner

“Low quality and high priced”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013 via mobile

Ordered the chicken fried steak, eggs with biscuits and gravy. Chicken fried steak was a fake processed piece of meat and the gravy was gritty, old and sour tasting. The biscuit was delicious and the eggs were cooked to order. Also ordered the eggs benedict which came out cold and the sauce was tasteless. Our total was over $30 for two breakfast plates and coffee! What a rip off!
