“Lots of Food if you like hot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

We wanted to try "New Mexican" food and were told this was the place to do so. The portions were large and in some regards tasty. We asked for the chili in the side and were told the green chili was milder than the red. If that is mild .. OMG

The stuffed sopapilla's were delicious although too much for me and seasoned beautifully. The enchilada's were different than we were used to and the chicken was unseasoned. The sopapilla with honey butter made a great dessert.

“Good food and Excellent Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Have eaten at Michael's whenever we visit Taos. Great family restaurant. The food is good and excellent service. This past visit Daniel gave us excellent service to our party of eight and made sure everyone got what they needed. Also great bakery.

“Local Treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

This place truly represents the history of Taos. Someone should tell Guy Fieri to visit this place! Great for breakfast....known for those cinnamon rolls! Stay for lunch or dinner! I loved my stuffed sopapillas, Christmas style, of course! The building is very interesting, especially the stained glass. Don't miss this one!

“Why is there a dog in a restaurant?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

My husband and I were enjoying breakfast at Michaels recently. While the food is good and the service is good, I don't think it is very sanitary to have a dog in a restaurant. Ewwww! Hubby may go back but I won't.

“good food \ good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Michael's has a good pancake selection. I've tried the blueberry, granola, and blue corn pinion-I like the granola pancakes best. The hash browns by themselves are as bland as you can imagine, but if you order them smothered with green chili (specify vegetarian green chili if you don't want bits of meat in it) they suddenly become delicious. Michael's is not a super vegan friendly place, you can eat there vegan, but if you want it to taste good, go vegetarian. If you're a meatetarian, you're all set, enjoy.

I've never had bad service here.
