“Awesome, awesome, awesome! Comfortable, cozy, exquisite!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2009

We loved this restaurant, my husband had an impeccable filet (one of the best he has ever had) and I had a traditional thanksgiving dinner that was wonderful! It is a very warm and cozy atmosphere with the quality of fine dining. We could wear jeans and have a nice meal at the same time. Highly recommend!!!!

“An outstanding restaurant with delicious food and attentive staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2009

My husband and I ate at this restaurant on a recent visit to Taos. It was one of the most delicious meals that we have had. My husband ordered the buffalo steak and I had the ahi tuna. Both were beautifully presented and extremely good. The sweet potatoes that accompanied the ahi tuna were very tasty. The portions were generous. The waiter was friendly and informative. A great place to eat and one we would highly recommend.

“Lambert's a Huge Disappointment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2009

Although we had many wonderful dining experiences in Taos, dinner at Lambert's was a total flop! We had read a lot about the food and were looking forward to a wonderful meal, but that was not to be the case. Both my husband and I ordered the portobello stuffed mushroom caps, and not only were they the smallest portobellos we had ever laid eyes on (between 1 and 1.5 inches across, no exaggeration), but they had an odd flavor as well. The warm lentil salad that accompanied the dish was tasty, but at $22 per entree, it was hugely overpriced and not at all satisfying. In addition, although there were only two other tables of guests, service ranged from indifferent to rude to non-existent. Our waiter never once looked at us, even while reciting the day's specials; our water glasses were not refilled until well after we had finished our meal; and we were left waiting for the check for over 15 minutes. With all the wonderful restaurants to choose from in Taos, we will certainly not be dining at, nor recommending, Lambert's again.

“Nearly perfect.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2009

Dinner this past weekend at Lambert's was nearly perfect.! Beginning with the ability to make internet and confimred reservations was a plus. The food? Just two of the specials for the evening: Halibut with a citrus hollandaise served with fresh green beans and lovely mascarpone mashed potatoes; Lamb Taquitos with a mole sauce paired with a fresh avacado & corn salad. Appetizers inckude a wonderful cold strawberry soup with a port reduction and romaine salad with jalapano bleu vinegrette. The bread pudding? Fantastic. Anyone who loves good food will not be disheartened. The wine list was good, and the staff delightful.

“I'm not easily impressed, but Lambert's impressed me”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2009

A recent trip to New Mexico and Colorado took us to Taos for three days. Unfortunately, we ate at Lambert's on our last night in Taos. Had we gone there on the first night, we would have gone back on all three nights. Being a very good cook, I'm not easily impressed, but this was on of the rare occasions on which a dining experience made quite an impression.
One of the night's specials was soft shell crabs with a Southwestern twist. The chef's combination of flavors and textures made for the best soft shell crabs ever. (And I'm spoiled, being from Maryland)! The bread pudding with rum sauce was also the best ever. The service was also excellent. I very highly recommend this restaurant, and can't wait for our next visit to Taos.
