Go to Taos one way, and come back the other...you'll be glad you did! The views are spectacular, and the motorcycle graveyard is something you never thought you'd be so intrigued by!

“Loved this ride”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014

We took the high road to Taos so it seemed only right to take the low road back. Travel time is much quicker but the views are stunning as you have the Rio Grande along one side and the mountains all around. Just stunning!

“Marvelous low road”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2014 via mobile

After visiting Albuquerque nm and Santa Fe , we decided to take the low road to Taos. Lovely lovely drive . Many picture opportunities . I would have liked to have seen more pull offs to park and take more shots. Very pleasant relaxing drive.

“Nice drive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2014

Pretty route that follows the Rio Grande much of the way. Noticed lots of traffic enforcement along the way as the speed limits are surprisingly low for being in the country.

“Nothing like meandering along the Rio Grande!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

We loved our leisurely drive from Santa Fe up 68. Stopped at wineries, river launches, eateries, and charming other random places.
