“WOW, be careful when you look down”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Having been in this area at least a dozen times, we had never before driven or walked over the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge; it is quite an experience and easily missed when one just drives from Santa Fe to Taos. Take the back road from Pilar (south of Toas) after stopping at Steven Kilborn Pottery in PIlar - he'll tell you how to go. Views are spectacular from the bridge - a long way down

“Can Be Very Windy on The Bridge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

This is great place to visit and watch the sunset and the mountains light up with color. There is parking area with bathroom facilities on one side of the bridge, Look for pronghorn sheep in the fields across the bridge.

“I live 3 miles away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

I cross this bridge several times a week and it never fails to take my breath away! The views are amazing...the wildlife that can be seen range from bald eagles to big horn sheep...you never know just what personality this incredible piece of earth will present...I have seen her bathed in rainbows, kissed by rain, blanketed with snow, and aglow with golden sunshine.

“A vista within a vista within a vista . . .”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Easy access to this spectacular vantage point. There are photo opportunities right from the rest area itself, but you MUST walk out to the middle of the bridge. The vendors along the highway were kind of an eyesore, but they were friendly enough. (Make sure to visit Taos Mesa Brewery on the way back to Taos -- left hand side of the road as you climb out of the gorge area. Can't miss it. It looks like a big hangar . . . DEEEELICIOUS beer there!
