“Lovely experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

We just loved our stay at the Inn on La Loma. Great location - secluded and peaceful, while only a short walk from the Plaza. The property is beautiful and charming, and the hospitality superb. Austin went out of his way to make our experience more than enjoyable, treating us like true "guests" (and not just customers) from the moment he welcomed us and throughout our stay. Our room was wonderful (Anazazi, I think), beautifully decorated and well appointed, and the bed and quality linens were very comfortable. The luxurious bathroom was out of this world, with a jetted tub and awesome rain forest shower, plus great amenities. We felt very pampered and relaxed, and only wished we had planned to stay longer. Would definitely recommend and will come back here on our next trip to Taos!

My husband, our three year-old daughter, and I had a wonderful stay at the Inn. We were greeted by the Innkeeper Austin when we first arrived followed by the owners Jerry and Peggy. Everyone was very friendly and helpful (i.e., helping with luggage, offering to make dinner reservations, offering to get ice for room). We were given a tour of the place and our room. The main lobby, grounds, and room were gorgeous. Just what you would want for a true southwestern experience. Our room had a beautiful view, decor, and amenities. We enjoyed fires in our kiva fireplace which made it all the more fun. The breakfasts were delicious...and if you are lucky you may be offered Austin's own frittata creation - wow. There is also Peggy and Jerry's dog, Lacey, who pretty much steals the show. Very friendly, mild mannered, and can sing and do high fives. In addition, there is afternoon tea and coffee with snacks. If you did not want to make the trek out of your room there were complimentary drinks in refrigerator, as well as tea and coffee. We felt very pampered and enjoyed visiting with Austin, Peggy, and Jerry.

Austin Miller, the Innkeeper was absolutely wonderful. He paid attention to what you told him and he steered us in the correct directions for sightseeing and meals. They have thought of everything at the Inn, there wasn't one thing I could think of that they could improve on. The Inn has a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was on the first floor and being from the east coast we were in bed early and we were not disturbed by the comings and goings of the other guests. We had a wonderful breakfast prepared by a local chef and she is an amazing cook (I'm sorry I forgot her name). We would highly recommend the Inn to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay in Taos.

Jerry and Peggy helped to make our first trip to New Mexico a wonderful experience. The Inn on La Loma is beautiful -- both the grounds and the rooms-- we stayed in the Spanish Colonial. The breakfasts were delicious . They were very helpful with directions and dinner reservations. The inn is within easy walking distance of galleries, shops and restaurants.

We were in Taos as the leaves changed, and the grounds of the Inn were awash in the fall colors. Both the grounds and the Inn are very inviting. We felt welcome the moment we stepped inside. As Peggy and Jerry were away during our four-night stay, we were very ably coddled by Austin. He is an asset to the Inn and represents it very well. This was our second visit. The personal service, warmth, charm, and meals continue at the level that we experienced on our first visit. Well Done! We look forward to our next stay at the Inn when we return to Taos.

Very cute place, well-kept and cozy resort and rooms. Breakfast cooked fresh for each guest every morning and included in the cost of the room. Nice fire outside each night in the chimnea as well as fireplace (with wood provided) in every room. Jerry, Peggy and Austin were all wonderful during our stay - all extremely polite and very knowledgeable about the Taos area. Provided many great food recommendations as well as directions around the area. Would definitely stay again!

The inn is very conveniently located to the old town/downtown Taos area. The rooms are comfortable and each room has its own personality. The grounds are very nice, outdoor tables and chairs, and a hot tub. The inn is on a somewhat busy road, though it's reasonably well set back, so traffic noise is noticeable, but not too loud. The breakfasts are excellent, both a full breakfast and a continental breakfast which is ready earlier with cereal, fruit, pastries and coffee. The innkeepers were very pleasant during our stay, especially Austin, who was extremely helpful, outgoing and pleasant.
