“A Restaurant and Experience beyond words...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2010

My girlfriend and I were fortunate enough to find this remarkable restaurant on it's opening weekend almost two years ago. We fell instantly in love with the property, the food, and the people. Fast forward to this August when we were once again fortunate enough to have our Wedding Ceremony and Dinner at the "Apple". As the building was once a church back in the 1800's, it seemed like fate that it should be the place.
This review is long overdue as is any and all praise that could be given. The care, creativity, and dedication given to the menu and the historic property transend the ordinary. Eating here is an "experience" to be savored and embraced. The cozy and traditional nature of the ages old building wrap you in a sense of fond history while everyone there from the Owner Jennifer, Chef Andrea, and each and every server bring a feeling of visiting family.
Make The Love Apple a must-do while in Taos...and if you're getting married in Taos...look no further.

“Delicious meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2010

We had a wonderful dinner at the Love Apple, service was good and the food was even better. A poblano and Red Pepper soup with just a touch of cream was flavorful and not too spicy. The rib-eye with potatoes au gratin with Guyere cheese was intensly flavorful and my wife had a wondeful Tamale with Mole sauce. We were full enough we skipped on the dessert. This was a dining highlight of Taos.

“Ahhhh . . .”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2010

My husband is a native of New Orleans, has an excellent palate, and is particular about food. He was very impressed with the food at The Love Apple. Even if you're traveling on a tight budget, I recommend that you treat yourself to a memorable evening at The Love Apple.

We got great service and the food was excellent. I appreciate that they offer gluten-free options. They serve local food and it was very fresh and of high quality.

We both had the trout, which is their most popular dish. Loved every bite. But the best part of the meal was the panna cotta with blackberries for dessert.

The guest seated behind me seemed a little upset when she realized that the restaurant is in an old church.

Just a note to management, I think it's unsafe to have a candle with an open flame next to the paper towels and toilet paper in the bathroom.

“Romantic and delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2010

Our B & B host told us about this place, which is located in an old church. It is eclectic and interesting, and the food is terrific. Every bite was a little symphony. The don't take credit cards, so come prepared.

“a real find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2010

This quaint restaurant housed in a former church is simple, but charming inside. The menu is small, but every item that we tried ( 6 or 7 in all) was tastefully prepared and nicely presented. Focus is on organic and locally grown. I owned a catering business in the past, so know good food and this was all good food. Interesting combinations of ingredients. Service was friendly and fine.
