Stayed only one night, but enjoyed. Nice room, comfortable bed. Had tried to find the quietest room of all, but found that with a door to the next room you can hear every sound from there.
There were 2 small children, who fortunately slept all night.
Good food at the restaurant. There was local music in the lobby, that we had looked forward to after dinner. Wish we had been told that at this time of year (April) music in the lobby stops early.

We were celebrating our anniversary weekend in Taos. The photos of the rooms at the Historic Taos Inn on their website were impressive and the location looked ideal. When we arrived in the late afternoon a group of hotel employees was enjoying a lighthearted conversation around the reception desk. It must have been a slow time. We stood at the desk for several minutes while the receptionist ignored us, continuing her socializing. We had to speak up to get her attention even though we were right there standing at the desk waiting to be helped. We had a long drive to get there and it would have been nice to get a prompt and warm welcome. They are right when they say you only get one chance at a first impression. The room was OK, nothing special. The location is great.

We drove the "high" road to Taos, New Mexico to visit this charming town. We stayed at The Historic Taos Inn and had a fantastic room with a fireplace, which was nice because it started to snow when we were there 3 weeks ago. We had dinner there at Doc Martin"s Restaurant. It was fantastic. The staff at both the hotel and restaurant were very courteous and helpful. It is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Also make time to see the Taos Pueblo near there.

My husband and I only stayed one night in the Historic Taos Inn as part of a trip through New Mexico. I wish it could have been a week! The unique individual rooms are meant for relaxing and unwinding. We will definetly be back.

A welcomed diversion. Walking distance to the city center - Excellent on site restaurant. Evening entertainment & a local bar. Both active and quiet. Pleasant room with comfortable beds. Would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Don't be afraid of the rooms over the bar - usually closes by 9:30 - 10:00. Private tables for p...

We once again had a Marvelous stay at our favorite in Taos, the Taos Inn.
Brian who checked us in on Friday, answered questions thru-out and checked us out on Sunday, was always smiling and super helpful.

I have been coming to Taos and staying at the Inn since the late 60s! Numerous times I have come on a personal vacation and other times I have brought small tour groups to the Inn. I will return with another small tour group in Sept.

The Sandoval House is quite representative of the history of the Inn. Would recommend staying in it and also enjoying the other rooms as well.

The Doc Marten restaurant has great food and of course sample the music and bar food. The desserts are not to be missed especially the apple blueberry tart topped of with ice cream.

Room Tip: Ask the wonderful staff to place you in a room with antique furniture and Kiva fireplace for atmosph...
