“When in Taos, we always stay here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014

My husband and I love to go to Taos for a weekend getaway from Denver! We always stay at the Taos Inn! We love the rooms around the courtyard! Each room is decorated in the Southwest style but each room is unique, warm and inviting! The Taos Inn is across the street from the Taos Plaza with its cool shops and art galleries! We love the Adobe Bar where you can get excellent margaritas and listen to live music! Doc Martin's is absolutely the greatest for weekend brunch and bloody Mary's! My husband loves the juevos rancheros and I love the blue corn pancakes with blueberries! The staff is always friendly and courteous. For a wonderful southwest experience, a stay at The Taos Inn is a must!

Room Tip: If you can, stay in the courtyard rather than in the main building! These rooms are incredibly char...

Enjoyed our stay at the Taos Inn a few days after Christmas. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms in the courtyard and it was very pleasant and quiet. The kiva fireplace added charm and warmth to it especially after a hard days skiing. The location puts you in the center of Taos and plenty of nightlife that can be accessed by walking. The lobby and bar were decorated for the season and live music drew crowds each evening. Definitely a gathering place for locals and for visitors. We ate dinner in Doc Martin's and it was a very pleasant experience. We had a great time in Taos. We will definitely stay at the Inn again maybe opting for a larger room next time.

Room Tip: If you are going to spend much time in the room ask for one of the larger rooms.

A busy place close to almost everything in Taos. The restaurant and bar are outstanding. Live entertainment most of it local. Adobe Bar is a fun place. Doc Martens is one of the iconic restaurants in town.

Room Tip: Book in advance

This is a not to beat location to all the shops and super dining in walking distance!! The rooms are quiet and charming with the kiva fireplaces but starting to show their wear and could use a coffee maker and more accurate room descriptions since ours had a new shower and no bathtub which I was really looking forward too. Great staff!!

Room Tip: Choose a room with a kiva fireplace and enjoy the real old New Mexico experience!!

Being a metropolitan monkey, a traffic hiatus was in order. Away from the bustle but shrouded with activities and history, the Taos Inn stands alone in amaible accomodations. With the best location in town, nightly live music, northern New Mexican cuisine, and quaint rooms, the Taos Inn seemed to please couples, skiers, families, and locals alike. My husband and I found seclusion and entertainment at the Taos Inn and the eccentric town the surrounds it. The paths to Taos are fewer in number and more time consuming than most cities nowadays, but the Taos Inn is well worth the trip.

Room Tip: Room 204 is lovely!

It was a great place to spend Christmas! The Inn had entertainment every night and was within walking distance of everything. Food was excellent, rooms cozy and very clean. We will consider coming back next year!

Unless you can book a modern room, I would only recommend staying here one night if you are just coming up for a day from Santa Fe. Most of the rooms are quite inferior. The staff, however, is extremely helpful, and if you like a bar scene, it's quite lively. The restaurant is also good and it is in a central location, with parking, to explore the plaza.

Room Tip: Ask for a modern room - the ones in the courtyards are very old
