I am hesitant to write this review because I almost don't want to advertise our newly found little getaway!
Normally, I NEVER stay in motels because I am a clean freak and prefer 4 or 5 star hotels.
However, if you want a romantic southwest getaway this is your spot. I can't speak for all rooms, just room 147 where we stayed.
Pluses:
Under $90.
Clean Bathroom, sink, toilet and tub.
HUGE room. Couldn't believe how big it was!
King-sized bed.
Shower head not too low for me and my husband (I am 5' 8" and he is 6' 4").
New tile around tub.
Great smelling little bath soaps, shampoo, conditioner and lotion (even though I always pack my own stuff).
Refrigerator in room to keep our drinks cold.
Real wood burning fireplace in room.
Firewood, matches and starter log provided.
Southwest charm and details without being gaudy.
Open wood beams on ceiling in room.
Quaint setting.
Very helpful and pleasant check-in hostess (provided us directions to the BEST "not fancy" Mexican food in town; and boy was she right!).
Fresh chocolate cookies at check-in.
Free Wi-Fi (Good for checking all the local spots out)
We were there just shortly after the peak of the fall leaves changing color, but still soooo beautiful!
Negatives:
A few dead bugs in the light over the bathroom that need to be vacuumed out.
Carpet could be replaced, but it is not horrible.

Wish they would have provided us with fireplace tools to stoke the fire (not a major problem, we got by with a piece of wood.).
Futon in room looked "iffy" didn't want to sit on it and probably would have not liked to sleep on it without a blanket or two between me and it.
There is an adjoining door o the next room. People next door were talking loudly but the door wasn't well insulated (light could be seen coming under the door). Would have completely killed the romantic mood if we weren't able to turn the volume up on the music channel on tv.
What we didn't try:
The free breakfast, but there was one.
The pool (it was closed).
The out door jacuzzi (it was open, but it was to cold outside for us)
The wall unit air-conditioner.
All-in-all however $85 dollars for a quaint and charming motel room with fireplace equaled a romantic getaway just two and a half hours away from the house.
