“Very Cool place to relax and enjoy Taos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

We've stayed here for years and have always had wonderful experiences. It's an older motel with very nice rooms and great ambiance. Good rates, excellent pool and hot tub, staff is friendly and the rooms are very nice. We'll keep going back for sure.

Room Tip: We like the top floors, but all are nice.

Very clean, quiet and charming room. The staff was terrific, even after I plugged the sink! sigh...

Easy checkin and out, great breakfast and helpful friendly desk clerks.

Definitely would come again!

Based upon other reviews we decided to stay at this property. The king bed room was huge with separate living area, tv and small deck. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast was really good. The bath rooms were a tad small but we don't spend too much time in there so didn't really matter. We would definitely stay at this hotel again based on its good value and location.

Room Tip: We were on the backside of the hotel, very quiet.

Staying here 4 nights and must say this place is so relaxing. Simple breakfast (boiled eggs, fresh fruit, various breads, cereal, hot coffee. Go to La Cueva if you want more. Beds and pillows are great. Small pool. Sweet staff. Close to plaza. Good pricing. Can't complain at all. Will return next year though 890 miles is a ways. Enjoyed the Gorge...wife and mom bought a lot of jewelry form vendors there. Tomorrow heading to Red River, Chimayo, etc. love this area!

My frugal daughter chose a less expensive hotel for our Mother-Daughter shopping trip to Taos. Upon reading the bad reviews Mom took control. The short walking distance to the Plaza was a big plus. Past reviews of the lodge clinched the deal. We were very pleased with the room, both spacious and clean. The staff, from the front desk to the breakfast attendants were friendly and eager to help. The continental breakfast was more than adequate. As always the shopping can't be beat. Don't miss Sweets & Treats! Would definitely recommend to friends.

Room Tip: We spent little time in the room, but some rooms offer wood burning fireplaces, views of the mountai...

Mom and I looked and searched, I picked a cheaper place, she read reviews all bad. She decided on the El Pueblo. Thank goodness. Clean spacious room, the breakfast awesome. Close to Plaza awesome walking distance less than a mile. I can't wait to book for next year...lol

Room Tip: All non smoking rooms and queens we stayed in was great.
