“Spring Break Ski trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2015

We took our family skiing for the first time. The cabin was clean and accommodating. The kitchen was stocked. We cooked meals there and relaxed in our down time. We brought our family dog. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. We purchased lift ticket vouchers through them, and saved a chunk of change. The price was affordable. I would recommend a stay a Mountain Air Cabins to anyone.

We stayed at the circle bar cabin. It was a wonderful quiet getaway. This property is about 8 min from shopping and restaurants, but far enough away to enjoy nature and the hot tub! The property managers Ryon and Alyx Duncan went out of their way to accommodate everything.

We booked this place because of the good reviews and the affordable price. The owners were very nice and even received us with a goodie bag personalized with our name in it. Our Christmas vacation could not have been better, although it was upsetting that our cabin wasn't really where the office is at (almost 2 miles away from it) we had the relaxing retreat we were looking for. We stayed at the Snuggle Inn, which is small but just enough room for the three of us (My husband, myself and our 3 yr old). The first thing that caught our attention about this cabin was that any other place we look for there was an extra charge for a third person or we would have to have a separate room for it which we didn't want for our daughter. The cabin itself is nice and cozy, bathroom is small too but it did the work just fine. It has a little porch with chairs and a grill (which we didn't use because it was very cold). Hot tub was working well and nicely maintained. We had a small issue with the DVD player because there was NON, even though I had called in advance twice asking for it since we love to watch Christmas movies, but again the owners were prompt and got us one first thing the next morning. Other cons: the bed was not the best and there was only 2 flat pillows, we were lucky our daughter took her pillow from home. Checking out of the room was a hassle too, because we had a flight to catch early morning and we had to return the key all the way up the office, is not too bad but when you add snow to it... we almost got stuck trying to return the key. Also, the sleeping couch is not very comfortable to watch TV from. Overall, we had a great vacation and the view was amazing! We will definitely come back to Mountain Air Cabins.

Room Tip: Stock up in local wine!

Great Time! We stayed in Bristle Pine cabin and it was all we expected and then some. Amazing view from porch, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, hot tub was private and wonderful. We actually sat in the hot tube while it was snowing. If you want to see deer this is one of the best places to stay. Only down side was that there was only one bathroom for four of us. If you are staying in the winter months this cabin is in the upper canyon, so you will have to wait for the snow plow to come by in the mornings to get to town. We had an excellent time and I would recommend this cabin to all my friends. We would have liked to stay there this December but it was already book. Thanks again for the great time!

Room Tip: Pet Friendly

First of all, let me preface this review with a quick point. These cabins are not 4000 square foot luxury homes set on an acre overlooking a field of fairies dancing in the tulips below. If that is what you are looking for, you will be sorely disappointed. We stayed in the Cedar Cabin and it is a very rustic 900 square foot cabin. There are other cabins in close proximity. That said, the end of the canyon and the Indian reservation were just a few yards up the road and it was a peaceful spot to veg and reflect. Being at the end of the canyon, the cabin was quiet and the deck was nice. There were hummingbirds everywhere although we had to mix up our own sugar water for the feeder using the sugar packets in the cabin. We saw a mother bear and her cub raiding the dumpsters the last night we were there. We cooked all of our meals except one in the cabin and there were plenty of utensils and such. The refrigerator and stove both worked. The cabin was clean and the owner of the place seemed sweet. Best of all, for $25.00 extra we were able to bring our English Setter and he had a blast!
