“Not what it used to be”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

We went at about 11:30AM. Salad bar looked like some it was recycled from the night before. Potato salad had an extreme amount of relish. The posole was disappointing; pork was fatty and tough.
I had rare prime rib. The meat was rare as ordered, but was as dry and tasteless as cardboard. I have never seen rare prime rib without some juice coming out. Tea was never refilled. Took forever to get the check.
Don't think I am going back. The restaurant was already on the verge on being too expensive for the food quality. It has gone down even more.

“Good food and atmosphere but the service was EXCELLENT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012 via mobile

An impromptu gathering of friends ended up being a "party of 11" on Friday night. The staff was amazing. They quickly accommodated our large group and made us feel like we had a reservation. The waitstaff did a fantastic job. One of our daughters had a birthday and we had brought a small cake. The staff cleared the table. Brought out clean silverware and plates and coffee as if the party had been planned. Very impressive.

The food was good. Standard steak house fare. Very well appointed salad bar was included. Food was fast.

It's so nice to find top notch service!

“Nice restaurant.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

The Chicken Fried Steak was very good. The price for one, including a good tip, was slightly under $20.00.

“Nice atmosphere, consistent menu, banquet services.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

Very nice interior, huge fresh salad bar with tons of choices and 2 fresh home made soups daily. Steaks and seafood, as well as local favorites. Lots of parking, close to downtown and good hotels. A top 3 choice for a nice dinner in town.

“Mad Host”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

Me and my wife went to Cattle Barons for diner on 10/1/12 while visiting our son in NMMI. When we arrived the host which was a dark complexed young lady wanted to sit us on the first table right infront of the entrance, we asked if we could please be sitted in the dining room, she made a face as if this really upsetted her and walked to a table, TOSSED the menues on the table and walked away without asking if this was ok or any contact whatsoever. I dont know what kind of training they give their employees but im sure thats not it.
The rest of the night was fine, the waitress was really nice and helpful

Service: Terrible host, great servers

Food: Steaks are good salad bar is probably the best ever

Price: It is a bit over priced.

I would og given it a four star, but due to the mad host its a two.
