“Fantastic hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Wow! Pleasantly surprised by this modern, clean, comfortable hotel! We stopped in Roswell for the night, on our way back to Austin, Texas from a ski trip at Santa Fe, New Mexico. I was expecting a higher room rate because of the Suites designation. There were 5 guys in our party. Two dads (myself included), one son each, and one of their friends. We stayed at two other budget hotels on our trip, one in Santa Fe (the Comfort Inn, which was more expensive and much older, and the Santa Fe Red Roof Inn, which was also old, but real cheap). Long story short, the Comfort Suites in Roswell was a place we would be happy to have our wives stay! And the price was great! We simply walked into the check in area, and were quoted a great rate at the front desk! No need for Price Line or Orbitz on this one! The room was top notch, and the morning breakfast was great! I would give this property a 10 out of 10, but I am very picky and thus can only give a 9.8 on a 10 point scale. The only thing that could have been done to make our room perfect would be for the housekeeping staff to periodically wash the shower curtain. Ours had a slightly musty smell, but aside from that one little "ding", the hotel was perfect! The shower had two heads! The standard shower head, and a second large head directly overhead. Real nice granite throughout the room was a very nice touch. Two TV's in the room were brand new flat screen models. A fridge and microwave were also in our room. The couch pulled out into a roll away bed, and they even had a desk top charging station that allowed for multiple phones and iPads to be charged at one time. Free WiFi was fast. To summarize, the hotel was perfect with the exception of the shower curtain.

We usually stay at a different place in Roswell, but decided to try something new on this trip. This was an overnight stop on our way to Santa Fe and we were able to get a GREAT rate with AARP membership. We ended up staying at this place on the way to AND from Santa Fe. Very beautiful room with comfortable beds, rain shower head, 2 flat screen tvs in room (sitting area and bed area). Our ONLY complaint was that when we entered our room on the first night it was FREEZING. The outside temperature was around 30* and the heater was not turned on at all in the room. I can understand saving electricity on unoccupied rooms, but we had booked this room online and in advance. They could have determined which rooms would be occupied and at least turn the heater on at a low setting. When we came through the second time it was warmer outside and the room wasn't as cold, but the heater was still turned off. Everything else was outstanding at the hotel, so we didn't feel the need to complain about this one problem. It's just a suggestion for future reference. Based on our experience here, we booked rooms at the Santa Fe Comfort Suites. When we left I told the young woman at the front desk I hoped the one in Santa Fe was as nice as this and she commented she hadn't been to that property but heard good things about it. Although it WAS nice, it was nowhere near as great as the Roswell location....plus we paid an extra $20 for one night and $30 for the second night in Santa Fe for the same type room as Roswell. We used AARP membership discount at both properties. For more info about the Santa Fe property, see my review over it.

We were attracted by the EXCELLENT ratings and we were not disappointed. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet: the staff people were very nice, and the breakfast was great. We used one of our free nights for our stay, so that was very satisfying, too. Would we come back? Yes indeed; looking forward to it.

We travel a lot and always look for a good deal for our weekend getaways ... This hotel exceeded our expectations on price and quality as well as customer service. Looking forward to returning again. The breakfast food was awesome and fresh. The breakfast staff was very helpful by assisting me getting my breakfast up to my room. I would have gladly stayed another week at this hotel.

We have just spent two nights at the Comfort Suites in Roswell, New Mexico. The rooms are excellent with spacious living area. The King Size bed is great and the hotel facilities are first class. The breakfast is very good with hot scramble eggs and mini burgers. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Roswell.

Room Tip: If staying for more than one night, select a King Suite as the separate living area makes it more re...

Excellent staff, checked in with no issues, room was set and we were ready for goodnght sleep after driving for fifteen hours. Stayed their two nights, very quiet location. Outside mornings were chilly yet inside they had the firepalce going which was quite toasty and inviting. Morning coffee was excellent. There are numerous hotels in the area, some farther south in town but I am pleased we selected this location, it gave us an opportunity to view the town a bit more. Would definitly stay again and will use the chains other properties.

Room Tip: Our room was on the second floor, window facing south; all very quiet during night as nothing else i...
