Decent hotel for a night stay. Property needs updating really bad. Poor water pressure, hot and cold shower, sub par breakfast bar.

All the updating went to the lobby which is the nicest thing about the hotel. Customer Service was just okay. Parking is behind your hotel room in a non visible area. The room appeared to be nice at first. Our bed covers had hair all over the inside of them and on the pillows. There was no warm water. Air vent in bathroom did not work. The heater was super loud and confusing to use. Outdated tv. Very thin walls. Paid way too much to hear a kid cry all night. We would not say there again and I do not recommend it at all.

We were very happy with our experience, start to finish. I've reserved this same hotel for several more stays.

Location was great as was customer service. However the room was supposed to be a queen with two murphy beds and we got a room with a queen murphy bed and two couch/ hideabeds. The couches and chair in the room we beat up with holes in cushions and hideabed matress we uncomfortable at best. The other bother was that we had paid for 6 ppl to stay in room but only received enough towels and wash rags to bath 4 pple.

I have stayed at this property in past years under a different brand. To their credit, they are remodeling and for the money it is a very good value. Do not expect high end furnishings or bathrooms. The king bed was very good and nice linens.

One of the the back gate key locks did not work. Blankets were insufficient despite it being 15 degrees outside. No shampoo in the shower. Wifi did not work in my location at the very back of the property.

I would stay there again purely for the value.

This is a property that has had a long history - and many changes of ownership. We have stayed here frequently for one main reason: It is the best hotel choice for your dog, ever. Some of the rooms open onto a large, grassy courtyard, and a sliding door gives your dog an opportunity to go outside and romp.

Inside, however, the rooms have had declining quality for years. Now Howard Johnson has taken over and their early efforts at improvement are evident, although there is still a long ways to go. We booked a room on the courtyard with a kitchenette. There was fresh paint and new carpets. The beds were comfortable and the furnished appliances (microwave, TV, refrigerator and hot plate) all worked well. On the downside, however, the hot water ran out in the morning before my shower was done.

The attached restaurant is open only for breakfast - make-your-own waffles, hard-boiled eggs, rolls and cereal. The coffee was hot.

The staff was very helpful and totally aware of their up hill job to make this place more popular. One recent change was a total upgrade of the WiFi system - it worked well. There were only a few people staying when we were there. A real motivator might be the rates - our 2 Queen bed room was $70 per night - with an extra $15 fee for our dog.

I wish the owners good luck and I hope that they are successful in making this hotel as perfect for their guests as it is for their dogs ...

Room Tip: The rooms on the courtyard are perfect for your dog. Try to get a room with a kitchenette - very ro...
