Very comfortable place. Located right next to the stream. Deer came up and ate from our hands. The service was very good with clean towelsel provided each day if needed. The facilities are old but kept up and maintained well.

A great place for a relaxing stay.......

Enjoyed our stay in a comfortable two bedroom cabin, fireplace, nice full kitchen, bath with shower/ tub, plenty of towels. Our bedroom door opened up to the creek side and was steps from the water. The wildlife was at our back door, plenty of deer, ducks and the hummingbirds were plentiful. There are grills, swing seats, horse shoes for all to enjoy. Hike up the mountain or take a mini hike from your cabin. Cabin was very clean as were the upholstered furniture and bedspreads. Very comfortable.

We have been staying at Copper King Lodge for many years. We just returned from a 4 night trip to Red River and the lodge was absolutely beautiful. The rooms are always in perfect condition and the grounds lovely. What a treat to sit outside and hear the river. Copper King provides all the comforts of home. We travel on motorcycles and part of the parking area is paved, a real plus to a motorcycle rider. We look forward to our next trip and our stay at Copper King.

Excellent accommodations!!! We have stayed with Copper King Lodge for the past few years and found it to be consistently clean, quiet, and enjoyable. The lodge is centrally located to all things within the town of Red River.

Clean. My #1 priority. Friendly, accommodating staff. Been staying here about 5 yrs.. These are cabin type units. A make your own bed kind of place (which I prefer) but clean towels and washcloths, dish cloths, etc. brought everyday. This is a walking town with good shops and restaurants within walking distance, but Copper King is down by the river, off main street, which
reduces traffic noise. Brought our grandsons who LOVE it. Especially, the back yard with swings, picnic tables and deer, ducks and birds coming up on the lawn. Family friendly but also pleasant for a couple getaway. Red River has a lot to offer, but assuming you have checked that out, this review is of Copper King Lodge and you won't find a cleaner, more convenient place to stay. Stay here. BTW: New queen mattresses! Comfy!

The rental cabin was clean with up to date appliances. Our rental was next to the river and mountainside..absolutely beautiful! The office staff and housecleaning staff were very polite and friendly. We were very comfortable and sure to return soon.

Room Tip: Rooms with a river view are nice. The Lodge also rents 2-3 bedroom cabins with living area and full...

My husband and I have stayed at the Copper King Lodge in Red River, NM every year for the last 5 years, during the Red River Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally. We've stayed at almost every other hotel in town over the last 17 years, but have found the Copper King to suit us best. We rent a suite during our 3 or 4 day stay that consists of a full kitchen, living room with river rock gas fireplace, full bath and separate bedroom with two queen sized beds. This suite also has an adjoining 2nd bedroom available, if you have a larger group. We normally arrive in town, stock the kitchen, and settle in for a great weekend in a beautiful setting. But, what makes this Lodge special is the staff, starting with the little couple that maintains the rooms for the owners. They are wonderful, caring people who greet us happily ever year. The Lodge is family owned and well cared for. We are there during a particularly "wild weekend" each year, given the attendees of the Rally - but the Copper King is a respite in the craziness, where you can settle in and relax, if you want. There are rules at the Copper King, and loud, raucous behavior isn't tolerated, but by having these rules, the guests are assured a good night's sleep in peaceful surroundings. You can always take a walk to main street to join in the festivities, but it's nice to be able to get away from it as well. The location is perfect, just one street off of main, but close to everything that is going on, as well as proximity to the river. During the Rally, the prices are high - but are more reasonable other times of the year. Visit the Copper King, it is the essence of all that is good about Red River, NM.

Room Tip: Small cabins, and motel type rooms and suites are available. 2nd floor rooms are a bit quieter.
