Description: Mountain Treasures has a huge menu of wonderful homemade soups, made-to-order deli sandwiches (like ruebens, chicken-fried steak sandwiches and muffalettas)on fresh, "housemade" baked breads. The delightful smell of Kolaches, cinnamon rolls, turnovers, and cookies flow through the whole place and you may find them hard to turn down! Entrees include fried chicken with fries & Texas toast as well as catfish with hush puppies & fries. Our coffee shop serves steaming cappuccinos, lattes, and fresh house coffee as well as fresh-fruit smoothies. We've proudly served visitors and locals for 12 years on Main Street right in the middle of town across from the Community House.

“Daily visit during vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2011

We quickly found this place on the main drag and made it our unofficial coffee house stop each day. Whether working on my laptop in the morning with a mocha and kolache in hand or getting something cool to drink each afternoon with the whole family, we were very glad it was there. The ample space was nice. The staff was always friendly and helpful. There was a food menu as well, but we weren't there during meals.
I'll look forward to returning the next time we're in Red River.

“Cool little art. kolache and coffee place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2011

Went to Mountain Treasures because I heard that it had good kolaches and they were right! They have sweet and savory kolaches and both are excellent. They have sandwiches on the menu (including muffulettas.

If you are in town or passing through near breakfast or lunch, I would check it out.

Great little place. Stopped in for coffee once. Another trip was kolaches. Pretty good! A great alternative to donuts. Great staff, clean, and looks like they offer great lunch menu!

“Yummy kolaches and good coffee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2010

My sister and I stopped by here two mornings for coffee. One morning I had a cherry kolache, the other a sausage roll. Good start to the day! Wished I had gone back to try their huge menu of sandwiches and soup of the day. The bread is home-baked.

“across from Community House”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2010

Excellent espresso drinks, pastries (such as kolaches, with berry or cheesecake toppings, and something that appeared to be a cross between a muffin and a scone that the kids loved), and smoothies. Also looked to have good fresh-made deli sandwiches. Appeared to be a local favorite, with tables inside the "cafe", next door in a small gallery, and outside on a porch. Bustling, but very nice service.
