“Quick stop en route to Winter Park, CO”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2010

Motel is very convenient to 287 & I25. We made our reservation same day while in Amarillo. Arrived about 8:00 and room was ready for check-in. Room was basic for mid-level motel but sheets, pillows, bathroom & shower were clean and appeared well maintained. McDonalds right across street was nice for late snack. Pool was a little chilly but hot tub was perfect. Breakfast area was a little small for number of guests. But we enjoyed juice, coffee, sausage, donuts and cereal. We stayed on 2nd floor and enjoyed nice nights sleep with AC working perfectly. Out by 9 a.m. next day and on I25 within a few minutes. Will stay again if in Raton.

My family and I stayed one night. I had a single room and they had a double. We were repulsed by this place. The carpet were dirty, the bedspreads were not clean and the pillows were just a bunch of disintegrating foam rubber held together by a pillow case. The double room was extremely cramped with hardly any space around the beds. In my room the bathroom light above the sink flickered badly and the sink did not drain well. We felt that we did not want to touch anything. The only positive I can think of - no bedbugs!

We have stayed here twice now and both times it was a pleasant experience. We only stop to get sleep and move on so I can't comment on much else. Both times have been good stays.

It was comfortable, quiet and clean. Couldn't have asked for more. Staff was very helpful. Very inexpensive for the quality.

We stayed at the Raton Comfort Inn on our way home from skiing President's Day Weekend. It was cleaner than the condo we stayed at. We had the warm pool and hot tub all to ourselves and it felt awesome after skiing. The breakfast had yogurt, mixed fruit, fresh fruit, and waffles, among others. I highly recommend saving $25 dollars and staying here instead of the overpriced Holiday Inn Express on the other end of town.

On the road and needed a place to stay. Called several hotels in the area that were full. Booked the Comfort Inn and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very clean, The lobby and staff were nice. The pool looked new and was very clean. Continental breakfast is included in the rate. Easy access to the highway and across the street from McDonalds.
