“Very good deal from folks trying very hard”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

High class it's not, but a great down home place. They have plates for around $10 (with even cheaper lunch specials) that include two generous sides and a roll- pretty much all you can eat. And surprise, surprise- I found a turkey leg on the menu. The meats we had were good, and I'll agree with others about the home-made bbq sauce. It had some vinegar tang, and wasn't sweet- excellent. The owners were friendly to their customers, and efficiently working the entire place by themselves. We really enjoyed their labors in all respects, and wish them well.

“Such a deal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Really solid BBQ, not far from the highway. I love the hacked horse trailer, built into what I guess was a gas station. My brisket was succulent and had a nice smoke ring. I liked the sauce--served on the side, and not sweet.

“As good or better than Texas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

We had AWESOME brisket sandwiches. Owner is from Texas, knows BBQ. Price was under $10 for sandwich, drink and side. Inside seating and deck. Located across from ace hardware... Easy to find on east side of street. BBQ sauce was amazing- more vinegar style vice sweet ketchup style. Imported ginger beer (non alcoholic) from Australia. We are thrilled with BBQ in Raton!! This is worth a drive into town, and worth the extra mile off the exit. We're already trying to arrange our visits to Raton to be sure to be there when Boomers is open. Strongly recommend!

“Good BBQ!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

The food was great, asked about the potato salad and was offered a sample to taste, it was very good. The brisket was delicious and was given real butter for our corn on the cob! The service was quick and the location was very clean. They also offer a 10% discount to active duty and retired military....so thoughtful!

“Great value, authentic BBQ!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Get away from the chains and big box type restaurants, and take in the great wood burning smells and tastes of real southern barbeque! Generous portions make for good value, and the taste is fantastic! Highly recommended!
