“Rest for the weary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2011

Arrived sort of late at night, weary, etc.  The check-in clerk was the GREATEST.  She was smiling, efficient and extra helpful with providing extra essentials we needed such as toiletries and bedding and information.  Motel was attractive, extremely clean, and affordable.  Their non-smoking suite is very nice.  Breakfast in the morning was excellent and quite well-rounded.Seeing that their workers work very hard and are busy, we hope their pay is commiserate with their service to weary travelers.

Room Tip: Call ahead to inquire about your choice of rooms.

Juliet and Sheri Lee were the greatest and made us feel right at home. Both were very helpful suggesting local restaurants, stores and attractions while we waited for our truck to be repaired. Our room was clean and very well maintained with a microwave and frig. We had more pillows and soft plush towels than you normally get at other hotels. The pool area is nice and clean and comfortable. It was very quiet in the hotel and other than the afternoon cleaning of the hall we couldn't hear anything or anyone around us. Being late sleepers we were not bothered when we put the do not disturb sign out like you are at other places. However we did not take advantage of the continental breakfast, i imagine that it great as well. We will definately come back when in the area. Also try the Green Chile Burger from The Grill across the street, it was awesome.

Room Tip: some rooms have windows that view the pool. If you don't want to be bothered by noise from the p...

Thinnest walls of any hotel I have stayed at. Anything said in the room next door sounded like it was said by someone in the room I was in. The best thing about the stay was the very nice lady who took care of the continental breakfast.

Juliet and Sheri Lee were absolutely wonderful. They made my family feel very welcome after a long trip and a much too needed break. The rooms were very clean. Would definately stay here again.

Stayed here for one night on the way to CO from TX. Too expensive for the conditions. Swimming pool water was overly chlorinated and bleached out my swimsuit. Breakfast area is too small. Would not stay here again. Staff nice.

Room 106 is wll furnished with refrig and micro (varies by room, we are told). King bed with 5 pillows. Freestanding closet with safe (the only one of the 18 hotels we stayed in), The only problem was the mold all over the bathroom door casing, visable when the door was closed, from inside the toi. A bit of bleach or vinegar and some effort and this would have been rated a step higher.
We have tuna sand (subway) in our room for dinner, and a bottle of wine.
The included breakfast had waffles, but then dropped below normal continential by not having bagels, english muffins...only white bread. The attenedant makes the waffles. This eliminates many problems with these waffle makers. If this motel gets busy, the seating would be a problem. The place has very low occupancy on our visit.

Room Tip: Probably worth a chance. Have a full gas tankl

I was at Mountainair for a Herding trial. Best Western mixed up my reservation, I did not have a room the first 2 nights I was there. A friend got a hold of the Comfort Inn in Moriarty the 3rd day I was there. All they had was a 2nd floor room, I couldn't get my dog up the stairs and was not going to be able to stay their, which meant I would be sleeping in my car again. But the front desk clerk Juliet, went out of her way to get me in. She found a 1st floor room so my dog and I could stay there. Everyone that worked there was great. They all went out of their for my needs. The hotel price was less then all the other hotels we checked. Breakfast was great too. It was quiet, clean, and there was all ways someone at the front desk. I have 3 more trips planned this summer and will stay there. I would recommend everyone to stay there.
