This is one of the worst Super 8's I have stayed at. The rooms are all inside on a long hallway. There is a backdoor that doesn't latch, which anyone can walk thru without a card key. The room was just okay. The beds were full sized, not queen sized. Not worth the price.

I just got back from spending three nights in the desert in Joshua Tree NP (just beating the Santa Ana winds), and stayed at the Super 8 La Posada on the way there from & back to Austin. After +600 miles on the road (and after three nights on the ground), it was well worth the 50 bucks. Room entry is from inside, which was a plus. The room was clean, I had wifi access, and plenty of hot water for a long soaking shower (I did find it amusing that the sink water knobs were different sizes). It's in a good location, about a block behind a Chevron station (which is across the street from Whataburger), and close to the freeway. I ran the fan all night, so if there was any noise, I didn't hear it. And if it hadn't have been any good, I wouldn't have stayed the second night (I even asked for the same room, and got it). Staff was friendly and efficient, too. Snootier, pickier people might turn their noses up at it, but I've no complaints.

I was traveling from LA to Houston and chose this hotel because of price and convenience. The front desk clerk was very nice. She told me room was in the back. So, I drove my car around the building. I went in through the back door which made me nervous about security. When I got to my room, it was hard to close the door, and once it was closed I could not l lock it! The light switch in the bathroom had a short. The desk was beat up. The clothes rack is not by the door, but on the other side of the room where the table and chairs are. The bed was comfortable. The next morning as I was putting my things in the car, some old man in his underwear came out of the room to complain that I was making too much noise closing my door. I dismissed him . WHATEVER! I went to the lobby to have some of the continental breakfast that started at 6:30am. At 8:00am, it was all gone!

I will be returning to LA in about two weeks. I promise you I WILL NOT BE STAYING THERE!

Spent last night here and it will be the last night there. The people above us paced the floor all night-and you could hear every step-all night long. Neighbors next door on same floor had kids going in and out. You would think with a motel 3/4 's empty that they would space customers out. Mattress pad was a flat loose piece of material that wrinkled underneath me and sheet was too small to keep tucked in. Very light weight breakfast-very run down place. We have stayed in many Super 8's and this place needs some work.
