“Comfortable, clean and a good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

Rooms are larger than usual and quaint. There was an "old" southwestern theme to the room we stayed in (e.g. tiled floors, and walls, wooded exposed ceiling beams, large heavy wooded furniture. The TV was on the small size - but was fine. This is not a BW Plus so many of the up grades were not available but it mattered little. The staff was great. The property is well kept and the breakfast was above average in quality. Of special mention, was their attention to guest services. These folks know how to make their guests feel welcome. The low price was a plus.

Room Tip: There are two levels and no elevators. Traffic noise can be a small issue for light sleepers so ask...

... and this one is no exception. My wife and I stayed here overnight while traveling between Clovis, NM and Tucson and arrived around 9:30 PM. Check-in was efficient and the desk clerk seemed eager to be of service. Our room was fairly large and, while the decor was perhaps somewhat dated, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed was fine.

This is a fairly sizeable property with nice grounds. There is a pool but it was closed for repairs. I always take advantage of the free breakfasts at Best Westerns. My expectations are realistic and I am almost never dissatisfied. Breakfast, served in the restaurant, was fine and attended by a very nice and attentive staff member.

I have no complaints whatsoever. I have no hesitation in recommending this facility.

I spent two nights at the Mission Inn. The room had charming, original southwest architecture with beamed ceilings and Saltillo tile highlights on the walls. The room was neat and clean. Room service refreshed it thoroughly during the day while I was out. The free breakfast buffet was one of the best I have have ever encountered- Mexican specialties like scrambled Huevos Rancheros, tamale casserole, and even homemade buicuits. A microwave and fridge were concealed in a lovely southwestern cabinet. Convenient location too.

Large room #207 upstairs with firm King Size bed. Older Southwest decor with small TV,frig, microwave, clean.Cold night, so hard to get the heat adjusted. Hotel breakfast typical but good service. Didn't like the coffee at all! Would have made my own in the room but coffee pot broken.Restaurant and lobby area very nice. Would stay again. Close to the historic district. Train track across the road.

If there was a rating between average and very good that would describe this property. The rooms have had some updating but still have away to go. The TV's are old and small which makes trying to watch a sporting event on them more than difficult. The beds were comfotable with ample pillows. Very nice size rooms with micros and fridges. Towels were sub par. As for the comp. breakfast save your self the time and frustration and just go out for breakfast. The breakfast casserole was burned beyond recognition. The eggs were powdered eggs. The waitress with her loud voice made you feel like you were in a NY deli !! There was no waffle batter out either. The second day we found a great place called Nellies Cafe. For the price it was OK but the location could be better.
