“Not Average......But Not Very Good Either.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

If there was a rating between average and very good that would describe this property. The rooms have had some updating but still have away to go. The TV's are old and small which makes trying to watch a sporting event on them more than difficult. The beds were comfotable with ample pillows. Very nice size rooms with micros and fridges. Towels were sub par. As for the comp. breakfast save your self the time and frustration and just go out for breakfast. The breakfast casserole was burned beyond recognition. The eggs were powdered eggs. The waitress with her loud voice made you feel like you were in a NY deli !! There was no waffle batter out either. The second day we found a great place called Nellies Cafe. For the price it was OK but the location could be better.

“Overnight stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

The room was very spacious with a large closed bath/toilet room. The makeup sink area was also spacious. The heated floor was nice as it was near freezing outside. I will definitely stay here again. The breakfast was great.

“Mission Inn in Las Cruces is an old favorite standby: RECOMMENDED!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Hello. Been staying at this motel for many years. Don't let the non descript exterior throw you. This facility has been well maintained over the years. If you have doubts, ask to see a room first. Rooms feature cool original tile work and heavy wooden ranch style furnishings. Good beds and bedding. Rooms are large and clean and evoke a definite New Mexican "vibe." Breakfast buffet included with all rooms, I think. Best you verify. This place is quite close to the historic La Mesilla shopping and dining
area. Be sure to visit. Other hotel pluses include a quiet location and Friendly desk and check in service. Ask for a room in the rear off the street. AARP and AAA discounts apply, I believe. There is a range of motels in Las Cruces--some are cheaper. But this classic spot is worth the slightly higher cost. I paid just over $70 including taxes for a party of one. It's a neat place to stay. Nice pool available in summer and a full bar on premises. Have fun. Much nicer than the usual options in El Paso. Peace. Estebanphd

“It's fine for the night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

Stayed here last week en route to Tucson. This place is a good place to spend the night. It may be a bit overpriced but seems to be in line with other places in the area. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed with excellent bedding.

The grounds are clean and neat. Beware of the upper floor rooms since there are no elevators and it is quite difficult getting your luggage up those stairs. I guess I could have asked for a bottom floor room. There are plenty of fast food places close by but if you are looking for a place to sit down for a meal it's a bit of a trek.

The included breakfast buffet was very nice.

Room Tip: Beware of the upper rooms. There is no elevator.
