“It's fine for the night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

Stayed here last week en route to Tucson. This place is a good place to spend the night. It may be a bit overpriced but seems to be in line with other places in the area. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed with excellent bedding.

The grounds are clean and neat. Beware of the upper floor rooms since there are no elevators and it is quite difficult getting your luggage up those stairs. I guess I could have asked for a bottom floor room. There are plenty of fast food places close by but if you are looking for a place to sit down for a meal it's a bit of a trek.

The included breakfast buffet was very nice.

Room Tip: Beware of the upper rooms. There is no elevator.

“Plan a night here while traveling”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

For all travelors looking to spend the night in Las Cruces check out this place. It is run very professionally and the rooms are outstanding. Old New Mexico theme thoroughout with all modern aminities. Bedding is 4-Star quality and all rooms are very large with a hideaway dressing and shaving area. Keep the curtains open! The motel is quiet and with never ending ice machines and vending machines. The included breakfast cannot be beat with a 4-Star breakfast buffet with all the trimmings. Waitstaff will be happy to answer any questions on breakfast items. The lobby is restful for the newspaper type with never ending coffee. Entire staff is helpful and knowlegeable of the area. I have stayed at the Inn many times on my trips from California and the Southwest. No I do not have stock in Best Western. Downside the pub on the premises was closed. When open it is a full bar to pub food. Have fun at Inn forget about driving back. Think all this is expensive.? Think again. $85.00 night inluding all fees.

Room Tip: Just ask for a guiet room away fom the street. However I have found there are no noisy rooms. Inn...

“Ok for a one night stay!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

We recently stayed at this "motel" when travelling through Las Cruces, we too used Priceline to pick the hotel and it stated it was a three star. We were a little dissapointed when we arrived to find ourselves in a motel setting not a hotel, however that being said, the rooms were recently renovated and clean, the beds were very comfortable and had new bedding, I was actually happily suprised.

The free breakfast included is pretty much your standard fare (powdered eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, toast, fruit, juice, coffee, definately enough to get your day started.

When asking the front desk for restaurant recommendations she was only aware of fast food places or chains, it turned out that there was a terrific bistro right around the corner from the hotel. It would be nice if the hotel put together a list for their guests - thank goodness for trip advisor.

Room Tip: Book a room on the first floor if you don't want to drag your bags up a flight of stairs, this i...

“They do the best they can, and then there is that smell.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

They do the best they can.

I just completed a six night stay that I booked on Priceline. I won't let Priceline pick my hotel next time I go to Las Cruces. This location was good when Main Street was the main street. ...That's been awhile.

First of all, this is not a Hotel it is a MOtel. The doors are on the outside and you generally park at your door.

If you do a search of three star hotels in Las Cruces this Motel does not belong in the same group. How they qualify for three stars is beyond my understanding. This compares with a motel 6 in my book.

The good:
The Priceline cost
The internet
The water pressure.
The linens were clean.
No complaints on the service

The rest:

EVERYTHING is ready for an upgrade, but most folks stay a night and are on their way to somewhere else. Note to owners...have you heard of flat panel TVs? Clearly, the owners have decided that an upgrade is not worth the investment and are milking this property for what they can get from it as they allow it to decline.

The room SMELL was stale and musty (leaving the AC running for 24 hrs a day did little to improve it). I mentioned it to the housekeeping supervisor: IF she did anything it didn't work. I think the smell of the room will be my most lasting impression of the Mission Inn.

Breakfast was above average for a "comp" breakfast, but nothing to look forward to. How many re-hydrated eggs can you eat?

I wanted to watch my finances on this trip and I got what I paid for, Mission accomplished, I guess. I was traveling alone. My wife will visit the City of the Crosses in the future and I can tell you for certain that she will not be staying here.

Will I stay here again? It is unlikely
Frankly, I'm very disappointed in Priceline. Until now my experience has been good with them. This simply is no longer a three star MOtel.

Room Tip: There is no restaurant. The pool is drained and likely won't be used again. The only things cl...
