“Fabulous soup, sandwiches, and service ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

I'd heard the entrees and desserts were great but was most wowed by the soups. The Lemon Artichoke and White Bean with chicken and bacon both sounded too good to miss and we were both glad for those choices. As soon as we took out first tastes, we asked our great server Dustin what the soup rotation was and about takeout sizes. Over-the-top fabulous soups. The lemon artichoke was a velvety creamy dream with deep lemon flavor but no tartness and just enough artichoke and pearl pasta bits to keep it interesting as we did all but lick the bowl. The white bean chicken bacon soup was hearty and soothing. Neither are what we thought would be our favorites of the meal, esp on a scorching hot day, but they were the winners. Our great server, Dustin, recommended the green chile soup on Friday. Looking forward to that one too.
For entrees, we had the meatball sub and a bacon BBQ burger. The meatballs were melt-in-your mouth tender, with just enough sauce and cheese to make a decent mess. The BBQ bacon green chile burger sounded better than delivered. Quite a stack of burger patty, bacon, heavily breaded onion rings and dripping BBQ sauce on a thick ciabatta bun. Extra napkins were provided and needed. I'd remake that one with sautéed onions and oregano on the beef patty to give it an Italian flavor or just order something else. Raspberry ice tea was crisply tart and available unsweetened. Other than the burger, great food in a lovely former home at the same prices you'd pay for far less memorable or enjoyable edibles. See you there on Friday!

“Popular local restaurant with delicious baked goods”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

We love this restaurant, but mainly get a small pizza and divide a Half Italian Chef salad, because the entrees are about $16 each and up, which is beyond our regular budget for dinner. It is in an older house. It actually has 3 levels. The regular entrance is up a flight of stairs and there is dining on that level. There is also dining on the ground level in an adjacent space. Indeed people with disabilities enter on that level, but the hostess station is at the upper level. Then there is a way up stairs dining room that we have only been seated at once (for when they are really busy). They often have parties of 8-12, but I am sure one needs to arrange that in advance because they have to pull their tables (which are normally for 2 or 4) together. They are always happy to see us, despite the fact that we are not big spenders. Occasionally, we indulge in one of their desserts -- cakes, cheese cakes, etc. Sometimes we take one home. The restrooms are on the entrance level, so I'm not sure what one does if one has a disability and comes in at the ground level. There is ample parking on both sides. If one has a disability, it's best to park on the left-hand side, as that's where the entrance to the ground level part is.

“Food, atmosphere, service, dessert and affordability!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

On a 5 day vacation in Las Cruces my family wanted to try something different for dinner. I found this place and as we pulled up, we thought we may have under dressed. It didn't matter. The staff was very gracious and easy to talk with. The traditional spaghetti was excellent. We also had two chicken dishes, both fabulous. The only thing difficult about the dessert is choosing what to have. The wine is decently priced and good (from the opinion of an average midwestern wine drinker that doesn't know much about wine). Check it out if you want to mix up your flavors.

“Good Italian Food, Great Desert”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014 via mobile

I have lived in Las Cruces for 7 years and never been here until tonight. The food was flavorful and portions large. The wait staff were helpful, but disappointingly they were out of the apricot stuffed pork chop. The Italian wedding soup and spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs was very good. There is a very excellent selection of desserts and prices were very reasonable. We will be going back again.

“Local with great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

I avoided this restaurant after moving to Cruces because I thought the Si in the name referred to a Mexican infusion. I was mistaken! It is an abbreviation for Sweet Indulgence, which lives up to its name! The desserts are amazing! It is an excellent restaurant with outstanding service. I was very impressed. My meal was delicious and flavorful. The owner personally checked on my table, which scores extra points with me! Well done!
