“Wonderful salsa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

Someone at a store at Historic Mesilla suggested Dick's Cafe to me because of my interest in local salsa. It was worth the visit. The hand-cut fries were absolutely delightful. The salsa verde burger was very, very good. The red salsa was hot enough it made my nose run (but I managed to eat the entire bowl by myself). Don't let the outside fool you - this is a place to try!

“Waitress acted like she was doing us a favor”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

Asked if pulled pork was tender today. Waitress said I just got here. Cook tells here it's great. It wasn't. Ordered combo plate extra cheese, barely had any, and it was covered in green gunk, not green sauce for enchilada. Asked for tortilla, got argument. Go frequently, worse experience ever. Usually excellent. Hopefully just having bad day.

“Great juevos rancheros”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

The food is amazing the rellenos and the juevos rancheros were great. The service was great the first visit, I guess the quality of service depends on the waiter.

“Life changing chili con carne but sorry service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

The quality and quantity of the food is awesome. Some of the best green chili I've had with tasty beans and rice. Husband had the enchiladas with both green and red chili and raved about it as well. Waited a long time to get order taken and had to ask for water refills twice. Servers were arguing about which tables were whose...not cool in front of the customers. We weren't in a hurry and the food was very good so while annoying it didn't ruin my opinion of the experience. Off I-10 at University Avenue, it's an easy off and on when traveling through Las Cruces. Will make it a point to save a meal stop for Dick's on our next trip in the southwest.
