“Nice motel and room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

Nice newer motel and room on second floor with a king size bed and a mountain view across the street from some railroad tracks. A couple of minor quirks, refrigerator was a little too high for the space under the counter it was supposed to fit in so it was located at the end of the counter/bureau unit which made a bit of a tight fit getting luggage through the door into the room. The shower unit is a little unusual and modern, an egg shaped shower (no bathtub) that protruded into the room. The room is a little on the smallish side but had adequate space. Nice stairs which open up to see down into the lobby. Good breakfast which included an omelet station. Quiet enough, never heard a train.

Dear Valued Guest
We thank you for your honest feedback and do appreciate all the comments we receive. This is a way for our hotel to grow and try to accommodate our guest to the best of our ability. Thank you for sharing the oversize fridge issue, this was very helpful in which we have removed the fridge and placed it with a correct one. I do apologize for the room size but thank you again for staying with the Sleep Inn. We look forward to seeing you in the near future.

We are relocating from Florida to California so we had bags and drinks and ice to bring to the room. There is no elevator so we had to carry everything upstairs. I have significant arthritis in my knees so this was difficult especially when we just wanted to get the the room to relax. The tv didn't work and the one night attendant took so long to try and fix it we gave up. The shower was peeling and the toilet handle had to be wiggled to stop flushing. The bed was not so comfy. If there is nothing else available, it will do. If you are looking for a good night's sleep and a relaxing night not so much.

My experience at the Sleep Inn was one of the best I have ever had! I was welcomed by an extremely friendly front desk attendant. I have certain special needs that must be met, and the accommodating staff made sure that they were without any hesitation or question. The newly renovated rooms were crisp and clean with all the modern amenities. I was extremely comfortable, as I should be on vacation. The ambiance along with the friendly and helpful staff made my stay absolutely carefree. Don't forget about the breakfast! What hotel offers fresh made, custom omelets? This hotel does! I have never indulged in a free breakfast quite as luxurious as that of this hotel. Thank you Sleep Inn staff for making it an enjoyable stay.

From our resent stay, we can verify everything in the previous review. The walls are thin, our king room had no tub, the breakfast bacon is truly some kind of mystery meat, maybe roadkill. The breakfast room had three tables with only two chairs each. The first large family in grabbed all the chairs and nobody else had a place to sit.

On the plus side, the property is being remodeled, our room was clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the price was good.

Room Tip: Ask for a bath with a tub.

If you don’t mind your non-smoking room smelling of smoke, and enjoy being able to hear your neighbors’ conversations as if the FBI provided you a wire tap into their rooms, then this is the hotel for you. You also should prefer a décor that includes curtains with stains that look like semen gobs, and a bed skirt that seems to have been shredded by a demon clawing its way out to a less hellish locale. On the plus side, the toilet paper doubles as an exfoliant so you can skip a pricey trip to the spa.

If you attend the breakfast buffet, you might delight in decorating your plate with the processed mystery meat that’s been cut to look like bacon (it looks like a child’s charmingly bizarre craft project), but don’t attempt to eat it. Don’t give it to small children that might mistake it as food and don’t give it to your dog unless cruelty is in the very marrow of your bones and you don’t care if you’re reported to the humane society.

First off, the 800 number you call to make a reservation is not easy to navigate, the gentleman could barely speak English, nor understand what I was asking. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk had completely different information than what was provided and I had to start all over. However, the staff were very pleasant and patient and I ended up with a great price for the room. The room itself was "ok", it was an old hotel with old everything. They were bragging about their renovations but it seemed it was only the lobby and not the rooms. The continental breakfast was very good. They make decent sized omelettes made to order.
