This place came highly recommended by some family members who were "very happy" with the hot tub and custom omelets for breakfast. I was dumb enough to stay two nights even though the first night was disappointing. The hot tub was luke warm and the breakfast was bland. That is not the worst part of this story by any means.
When I looked at my credit card statement a couple weeks later, the Sleep Inn had added a $250 charge. When I called them, they claimed I had trashed the room, and smoked the place up to the extent the shower drain was full of ashes and the room had to be aired out for days before it could be re-used. Bull hockey!
This was such a ridiculous charge it had to be addressed. I protested and let them know my lawyer was about to get involved, and they reluctantly agreed to refund the charges. I called my credit card company to also file a complaint. They said the records showed that as soon as I hung up the phone from talking to Sleep Inn's manager, that they tried to run ANOTHER $250 charge on the card. Fortunately, they had already run my card over limit, so they were unsuccessful. I would encourage people to stay away from this place. I think they have a scam going on. I have since learned I am not the only one who this has happened to there.
