3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2011

An older hotel that we got a good deal for $53/night on Expedia, with a good free Continental breakfast. Bathtub could have been cleaner but room was fine (old tube-type TV though). Had a ceiling fan, an unusual amenity. We forgot to ask for a quiet room and got one near noisy intersection; so always ask for a room, away from the street. No one in room next to us, but suspect thin walls.

I have had to be in the Farmington area for the whole month of October due to family business and have stayed here the whole time and can say that they have one of the nicest hotels I have ever been in. The rates are extremely reasonable for the amnetities offered. The front desk staff is ALWAYS curtious and ready to help with whatever my needs are. They have a shuttle to get you back and forth to any destination in the Farmington area. Housekeeping is always on top new linens so you never have to ask. There is also a great restaurant located on the property that has some delicious mexican food.

Based on Tripadvisor reviews, we booked a room for the night. The location was ok, the rooms were good, clean and quiet. (get a room at the back of the hotel because it is on a busy street. Glad we didn't spend more money on one of the more expensive hotels up the street.

My wife and I were really surpised at the cleanliness of the hotel, the pool and patio, the very friendly and helpful staff, the comfortable bed....everything! And that on top of paying less than $60 a nite for four nites! Plus, the restaurant severd really good food; awesome fajitas! Great location for us to sightsee; short driving distances to Ship Rock, Four Corners and Durango. Here's a great hint...go across the highway and find the Riverwalk, Farmington's wonderful jewel!

Bills itself as an independent motel (not part of a chain). It is a great place to stay.

Total time at check-in: 45 seconds... no kidding! My wife thought there was a problem I was out so fast.

The rooms were spacious and clean. My only complaint (and this is minor) is I like a softer bed. Even so, it wasn't bad..

Retaurant on-site. They make a mean margarita--especially if you ask for some orange curacao in it. And be aware that the salsa is spicy!

The Region Inn Farmington, NM
August 2008

Our stay was not to bad until the morning after having breakfast in the hotel and talking to the maintance man for a while, only to find him in the room when we returned to it. A day later I realized that was the last place I remember seeing my cell phone, so we called and talked to Danny the manager to see if it was there of which he told us to call back in AM to talk to Tina, the head of housekeeping. Talking to Tina the very next morning and asking about a lost/stolen phone, she even asked if it was a green Samsung? She asked for our add and all info, I told her to let me know how much for shipping, she said it would be in the mail wihtin a day or two, 4 weeks later no phone, although calls were being made. Calling to see what the problem was Mng Danny & head of housekeeping deny even talking to us. We were not treated fairley and I would hate to see someone else go through an incident with something more serious than a cell phone.
