“Excellent Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2008

Stayed for 3 nights. No other room noise heard even though it was full. Large area, excellent beds (no backache or tossing all night!!!) Very clean. Will stay here again. Check out the 3 Rivers Eatery/Brewery downtown...

We had stayed here many times in the past, we stopped coming here because it seemed like they were starting to skimp on the supplies (kleenex, toilet tissue, soaps). I got tired of calling for a refill, and mind you we are only staying one night but I am not going to make it with 5 tissues and mostly used up roll of tissue. Otherwise the rooms are clean and comfortable. Never had a problem with noise, but did have a problem with a misguided person trying to get into our room by mistake. Would still consider staying here again, but just irritated with the cutting of corners with the supplies.

The manager was rude to me when i asked questions upon arriving. My family was awaken in the middle of the night by loud laughing, and when i went to desk to ask why the noise was going on, i discovered it was the manager who was being loud. i asked if i could speak to someone else, he stated iam the manager and no one else can help you. he was agian very rude to me.I have to say the staff was very nice, but the managment needs alot of improvment and i feel very disappointed in the stay.i have never been treated that way before by any hotel or managment.

We recently spent three nights at the Hampton Inn in Farmington. The hotel was new, having opened less than a week prior to our arrival, and was a wonderful upgrade to our first night in town at Americas Best Value Inn. The hotel is decorated and furnished beautifully. Our room was on the forth floor and ranked up there with some of the best I’ve stayed in. The staff was polite and helpful, everything worked perfectly, and the wireless internet was some of the best I’ve encountered in a hotel. Breakfast was good; they provided a good assortment of hot and cold items, fresh fruits, cereals, etc. Coffee, hot chocolate and an assortment of teas were available 24 hrs in the lobby. There were some problems with the elevators and some of the exterior key entrances but I have to chalk those up to bugs that still needed to be worked out in a new property. We didn't use the indoor pool or fitness rooms but they looked wonderful. All in all, our stay was excellent and we would definitely stay again.

  • Liked — Because it was brand new, everything was perfect!
  • Disliked — They didn't have a room available for our entire stay and we had to change hotels.

Brand new hotel. Everything was clean and well appointed for a hotel in this price range ($99/night when we were here). Stayed in a King Bed / Study room which was VERY spacious and bed was quite comfortable. Also had sofa in room, flat screen tv, wet bar, granite counters and the typical stuff we've come to expect in US hotel rooms: iron board/ iron, coffee pot, hair dryer, curved shower rods. Oh, and what I thought was a nice touch...having the temp control located next to the bed so you don't have to get up at night to adjust if you are hot/cold. Only things that could have improved on this room would have been the inclusion of a microwave and a laptop safe. Also, don't expect any great views of the surrounding area, as this hotel is not particularly in a scenic part of town. However, it was easy to find and the room was so nice we didn't mind the lack of a view...which is somewhat hard to find in Farmington anyway.

Breakfast was okay. Essentially, lots of breads (muffins, bagels, waffles, cheese danish, biscuits), cold cereal, instant oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, and sausage patty. Coffee and hot tea were plentiful. Breakfast was available until 10am.
