I am an experienced Mexican food eater (southern mexico, northern mexico, tex-mex, southern New Mexican, and Northern New Mexican). Yes there are differences! This restaurant serves good food that seems to originate from Southern New Mexico. The red chili is more of an enchilada sauce than chili. They also serve sopapillas but they come after dinner with honey. The complementary chips and salsa is also good and is also served with a sort of green chili/sour cream dip, which was also good.
Don't get me wrong, this is a good restaurant (have I said good enough times.) I prefer authentic Northern New Mexican food.
The receptionist seemed to be arguing with one of the waiters.
