“If you want to feel pampered and right at home stay at the Cottonwood Inn.”

Decidedly charming, Cottonwood Inn is a wonderful respite. Gracious hosts, Brantly and Shantal provided an awesome experience – from the luxurious rooms with Shantal’s fantastic body products included, to the marvelous breakfasts (complete with homemade preserves), to the comfortable and inviting common areas – it was fabulous. I am looking forward to staying at the Cottonwood Inn the next time I am in the area.

Brantly and Chantal were wonderful hosts in this thoroughly delightful getaway. Because it is outside of the town rush, there is a great sense of calm and natural wonder--- I sat in the courtyard our first afternoon and watched the gorgeous interplay of light on the Cottonwoods. Our favorite...... was the spacious chicken coop as you came and went to the very good-looking main house; it was a feast for the senses. They are a great exotic mix of colors and hairdos lorded over by the gangster rooster in shiny black and red. We loved sitting in the adirondack chairs (inside the coop!) in the late afternoon especially after some new young geese joined the club. Breakfasts couldn't have been lovelier or more delicious.

This is by far the best B and B ever. Brantley and Shantal are warm, welcoming hosts. Everything they do is an extension of their feeling for the land and their home. The food is beyond great...from the afternoon cakes that greet you at arrival to the breakfast that rivals any we've ever had. Much of the food is created, with obvious love, from their garden and chicken eggs. We benefited from good weather and were able to eat outside in the garden, seated next to travelers from all over the country. The conversations were as enjoyable as everything else here. The location is outside Taos on the way to the Taos Ski Area and away from the more touristy areas. Brantley's an expert on area restaurants and his recommendations were right on.

By far the best run and most enjoyable B & B we've ever stayed at. The hospitality was delightful - very warm and genuine. The private outdoor hot tub was perfect. The outdoor breakfasts were to die for - beyond delicious. Our room was very inviting, warm and beautifully decorated. We slept with the patio door open and listened to the rolling thunder off in the distance. We will definitely stay here again when in Taos.

From the other reviews I'd read and from the photos on their web site, I had high expectations of the Cottonwood Inn. On arrival all the way from Bangkok, Thailand, I was a little concerned my expectations might be too high as the Inn turned out to be situated at a rather busy intersection along a highway. But once inside, and once we met the owner-operators, Brantley and Shantal, all my apprehensions faded. The Inn is delightful in every way. We chose the Kiva room, which was small but appealingly intimate and quite charming in its decor. Its bathroom was surprisingly large and offered excellent amenities. The Kiva room was also conveniently located next to the Inn's dining room, which meant that Shantal's excellent cooking was only a step away from our door. While it was a little early in the season for us to enjoy the inviting patio, the Inn's living room, with its tasteful southwestern themes, has a genuine warmth and feeling of quiet repose. Indeed, there isn't a false note anywhere at the Cottonwood. We're definitely planning a return trip and we're sure anyone who stays here will feel likewise. As for its location along the highway? That was not a problem at all, because the Inn is surrounded by adobe walls that insulate it from all the haste and noisy hurry of the world outside. The Cottonwood Inn is one of the true sweet spots in Taos.

What a fantastic place to stay. Our room was spacious yet cozy and luxurious. From the bed linens to the beautiful tile work in the bathroom everything was wonderful and so much more....... It was apparent that a great deal of attention had been paid to every detail.

The gardens and shared areas are beautiful, relaxing, peaceful, serene.

And the food!!!! Each breakfast was a feast to the senses- delicious - with home made jams and syrups. Upon our return each day we found a variety of beverages and the most decadent and delicious fresh treats.

The Inn keepers are the most delightful couple welcoming, relaxed, happy, outgoing

We extended our stay by one day and even then it was hard to leave.

Shantal and Brantly are excellent hosts. The breakfasts and afternoon snacks are fantastic. Eva and "Winston are wonderful guard dogs. And Bernard is the best rooster ever. The Inn has a great location a few minutes from historic Taos, and 30 minutes from the ski lifts. Our only regret is that we couldn't spend more time there. Maybe we be back during ski season.
