“great relaxing weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

We live nearby and love to spend a relaxing weekend at the City of Rocks. The kids (and adults) never tire of exploring the endless mazes and hiding places in the rocks. This time of year, there are hundreds of varieties of grasses and wildflowers blooming, and the temperature is perfect. Also, the Faywood Hot Springs has reopened next door, which just adds to the relaxing weekend!

“City Of Rocks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

It was like being in a giant maze of rocks. I am a hiker and I like this as much as hiking on my favorite trails. Will definitey go back again when the weather cools down a little bit.

Truly a spectacular sight. A great day trip to escape, or a superb camping site. Watch out for tarantulas!

“Nature at its best...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

You will be amazed. Out in the middle of nowhere there is this great campground, little museum, and plenty of photo ops. Fun to climb the rocks, or if you aren't into climbing just to drive around. Love to go out and just find a shady place and sit. Looks different every time depending on weather and time of day. Also a great place to camp or RV if you want to stay a day or two. Good for all ages. Don't miss the very informative museum.. small but worth the time.

Would be a great place for a religious/spiritual service, or an awesome game of laser tag
