Visited this park during a road trip through Mexico. This state park sounded very intriguing and it turned out to be a great place to visit. This large jumble of rocks in the middle of nowhere in a valley is certainly a sight to see. Caused by a volcanic eruption, this "city" has a small visitor center with helpful staff, camping sites and picnic sites. A road circles the rock area and there are picnic tables situated near the outskirts of the rocks. I enjoyed wandering through this rock city. The rocks come in all shapes and sizes, mostly big sizes. Bring a camera, there are good picture opportunities. One of the things I love about roadtripping throughout the United States is finding parks like this that are unusual, thought provoking and a great place for nature lovers, something you haven't seen before. A geologic wonderland and worthwhile stop in southwestern New Mexico!
