This small, unpretentious charmer is to my tastes everything a B&B should be. Close enough to be convenient to everything Albuquerque has to offer but just enough off the beaten path to provide a real break from a busy day of shopping or sightseeing. There's no better way to start a day than by enjoying one of Nancy's wonderful breakfasts on the outdoor patio over looking the Sandia Mountains. This place is a treasure ... I can't wait to go back.

We have stayed at many B&B's over the years and the Chocolate Turtle ranks at the very top. it is small, friendly and the breakfasts are to die for. We enjoyed the other guests so much that some mornings we had to pull ourselves away to go about our business of seeing New Mexico. We were there for 6 nights and will definitely return on our yearly trips to the Albuquerque area.

What a wonderful discovery in the Land of Enchantment. The Chocolate Turtle is a truly SW appointed B & B with a wonderful view of the Sandia's where you can see the beautiful "watermelon" sunset. Dallas and Nancy are the perfect hosts, with great insight into restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. And to top this great B & B off, breakfasts are a gourmet delight served on the patio where at any one time you can see bunnies, hummingbirds, and the Roadrunners!

The Turtle is centrally located making it easy to enjoy a day out and about, return to relax and freshen up and still find a neaby place for a wonderful dinner.

If you are going to ABQ. you can't go wrong staying at the Turtle.

Outstanding hospitality! Great location, lovely accommodations, delicious breakfasts on the patio - never the same entree twice!
The hosts are friendly, welcoming and helpful in planning excursions. Lovely setting, wildlife, flowers and southwestern decor all add to the ambiance. Delicious chocolate turtles, too! We'll stay longer next time.

Meticulous Attention to Details

The Turtle is a small B & B with four guest suites. Dallas and Nancy Renner are the owners and hosts. They are knowledgable about the area and most helpful in restaurant choices. They are hands on. We had a superb breakfast both days during our stay. Breakfast was served on the lanai at 8:30 in the morning at one table with the other guests. Conversation flowed easily and the food was varied and delightful. We were entertained by two road runners, a bevy of quail, and numerous bunnies who make frequent visits to the yard. This B & B is a step ahead of any I have ever stayed in and one I would choose to return without any reservation. The common room is beautifully appointed and is yet another gathering place for the guests. All in all it is a great place to stay and the attention to detail is most admirable.
