We booked 2 rooms for 1 night as we were traveling through, and we were very happy with our choice of hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom even included makeup removal cloths, which I had forgotten mine. Breakfast was good, waffles, english muffins, toast, bagels, sausage patties, eggs, boiled eggs, assorted cereals, etc. This hotel seems to be pretty new and it is very clean. No complains, we would stay here again. We spent less than $100 for each room.

The building was beautiful - brand new. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom and all amenities were nice. Continental breakfast was average with a waffle maker and a friendly attendant.

The only problem was that a flood light was pointed directly at the window of our first floor room. My wife fell asleep as soon as we got in, so rather than disturbing my wife, I tried to fall alseep, too. Finally, about midnight I gave up. The room felt like it was morning. I woke up my wife and asked if she would mind changing rooms, and she said, "Why worry? It's already dawn." Then she looked at the clock.

Thankfully, the man at the front desk graciously reassigned us to a room on the 3rd floor. I fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed. The next morning at checkout I asked the manager if she had received other complaints about room 103. She said, "Yes, we have received several. Maybe we should do something about that." Unfortunately for them, they had two rooms to clean for the price of one, and we had to pack up and switch rooms at midnight.

Be sure to check your room for a floodlight pointed right in the window!

2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2008

When we checked in, there was a strong fishy odor in the lobby and elevator. It was still there when we went out a couple of hours later, and also when we came back later that night. Thankfully, it hadn't gone upstairs to the hall or to our room. The room was nice-sized with good lighting. The sink area was well-lit, but the tub/toilet area was small and dimly lit. The towels were thin and scratchy, the shower and bed good but nothing to rave about. If we ever have reason to be in Clovis again (which is unlikely) we'll probably find a different place to stay.

  • Liked — good location for our evening plans
  • Disliked — the stinky fishy smell

This hotel opened in May of 2007. The old Comfort Inn, not this one, turned into a Rodeway Inn (and I think it has another new name now).

This hotel still looks and smells new. The rooms are big, the employees are very friendly, and they even have a power strip on the computer desk. The internet seems faster than some I've been on lately at other hotels.

Only place I was able to find in Clovis with enough beds for 5 in one room. Two seperate rooms--one with a double bed, one with a king and a twin pull-out sofa.

  • Liked — two seperate rooms--enough room for family of 5
  • Disliked — breakfast could have been better
