“Great small town zoo!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

Where else will you see a zee-donk? I like hw close you get to the animals. Small, but the price is right.

“Much nicer than it seemed like it should be. Go if you're in the area and have an hour or two.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

I have no idea why a small city like Clovis has a zoo, but they do. It doesn't look like much from the entrance and the very inexpensive entrance fee reinforces the "what kind of third world zoo am I visiting" feeling, but it turns out to be pretty nice. It is surprisingly large inside and they have a nice variety of animals.

The value is outstanding considering the price and area. If you have maybe 2 hours free, you should go. I don't think you'll regret it.

A quick tip - bring a couple quarters for the fish food machines. There is no change machine or booth there so if all you have is cash, you're out of luck.

“Fun day for a cheap price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2012

Hillcrest Zoo has a wonderful selection of animals. They have a new baby giraffe, and if you are lucky he might come out to see you. Beautiful tiger also!

“Great little zoo for a small town. A fun day with the kids for small price~!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

While it doesn't compare to a large city zoo, you will be pleasantly surprised at the size and variety of the animals. Take a lunch and have a picnic. Great family day!
