Owners and staff were friendly and very accomodating, allowing us to leave our bags with them while we we taking the train ride on the Cumbres & Toltec. In fact, we inadvertantly left a bag in our room and they called the railroad to let us know. Very thoughtful...
The room was spacious, very, very clean with large fluffy towels and good water pressure in the shower. The TV had a good selection of channels and the bed was also clean and comfortable.
It was close to a Subway, so we could grab a quick bite and not have to drive too far.
I had not packed a hair dryer and there was none in the room. I'm sure if I had asked at the the desk, I could have gotten one, and it did give me a chance to "rough it" just a little!
The best part--the Branding Iron has air conditioning and given the heat, it was well used.
