“Good food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012 via mobile

Great local food. Courteous staff and clean restaurant. So glad we found this little place!
The food is inexpensive and the restaurant is quaint. We found this on our way to Durango and it was a nice local place. We would go there again!

“Fresh, creative Southwestern fare in Bernalillo, NM”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

While traveling to Farmington, New Mexico, my husband and I stopped in Bernalillo for a taste of genuine Southwestern food. We were greeted warmly by a young lady who made excellent recommendations which we ordered: shredded beef burrito with sides of beans and rice for my husband and a green chile chicken tamale and guacamole salad for me. All was prepared to our liking and beautifully presented.
We also appreciated the waitress's information on the "heat" in the sauces that accompanied our dishes and the complimentary salsa that came with a basket of chips. Prices are reasonable, too!

“Delicious carne adovada”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

Had lunch at Abuelita's with a NM friend who had never eaten here, but who had heard the carne adovada was the best in the Albuquerque area. Homemade chips and salsa greeted us as we sat down, and it took a while to look over the extensive menu. Since the carne adovada came so highly recommended, we both had versions of it - it's available solo, in a burrito, in enchiladas. Delicious! Suffice it to say that it impressed my NM friend so much that she expects to return to have it again. Large servings so we both had some to bring home. Will try to go back for another meal before we leave town. Open 8 am to 8:30 pm daily.

“Good Food & Pleasant Waitress”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2012

We are from Illinois and RANDOMLY picked Abuelita's Restaurant on our way back from a day trip to Chaco Canyon from Albuquerque. OUR NEXT VISIT WILL BE INTENTIONAL! The Food was very good and the selection was large. I had the Enchiladas Abuelita with green chili - I thoroughly enjoyed them. The included Sopapillas were very good, drizzled with honey. The waitress was friendly, helpful, and my glass was never more than half empty before she topped it off with more iced tea. The price was reasonable, the service was very good and the food tasted great - What more could you want in a casual dining establishment?
