“Very clean and comfortable!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2013

The room was clean and sanitary which is very important to us. Every day they served breakfast until 9:30 in a room off of the lobby area which was nice. I could always get coffee when I needed it 24 hours a day it was always hot. Also, in the evening it was nice to come back to the hotel and have an assortment of cookies ready to be devoured. I don't know what brand they were but the chocolate chip was to die for. The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was very quiet. I'm very particular where I stay and this place was great and the price too!!!!

Room Tip: I would avoid any room that is close to the lobby or the computer niche area that guests are allowed...

I stayed here one night on the way from Albuquerque to Las Cruces last month. I was pleasantly surprised, the hotel is very spacious and immaculate, it looks like it has only just opened. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean. The hotel is in a tiny town off the interstate, there is really isn't anything to do there, so I would say its for a stop on your way down or up NM. Albuquerque is about a 35 minute drive for something to do so it's not too far. There is free parking and free breakfast in the morning in a really nice foyer/ living room area, I'd definitely recommend this one!

If you are traveling along I-25 between Albuquerque & El Paso, this is a great choice. Bigger rooms than most HIE properties, since it was originally a regular Holiday Inn. Still fairly new & everything is in excellent condition. Great housekeeping, which is obvious in both the public areas & individual rooms. Spotless. Rates are also 25-30% less than the next HEI 40 miles down the road in Socorro, so this will be our future choice. Absolutely zero negatives, including friendly & professional front desk, breakfast & housekeeping personnel.

This is a newer property and is very clean and nice. The room was large and a king size bed. Nice complimentary breakfast included. The view of the mountains from the reception area is framed like a picture and beautiful. We were only passing through this town which is a good thing because there were very few restaurant options in this area.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

Over the last several years I've found myself staying at this property quite often, alone and also with family. I've never been disappointed, I always feel at home, and always it seems like a good value.
This hotel is located easy on and easy off of I-25, yet far enough away to be quiet and secure. The wonderful Rio Grande Diner is just across the quiet street and within walking distance. The restaurant building on the property is presently vacant. It would be lovely to see a nice dinner place move in there.
The hotel is nicely maintained, very clean and quite comfortable. The staff is friendly and very helpful if there is a concern. Lovely large meeting space for private events and group parties is available also.
There is an outdoor spa,a large lobby living area with comfortable seating, and a business area.
My room was all that I needed and very comfortable. I usually always feel at home there.
Plenty of secure, free, well-lighted, outdoor parking with room for over-sized vehicles.
Since the hotel fills up, it is always good to make reservations. And especially during the first 10 days of October every year when the Albuquerque Balloon Festival is going on, reservations are a must. This property also hosts some of the railroaders who overnight there during their runs.
Since this is a Holiday Inn Express Hotel, there is always the free hot breakfast. This is always lovely and over time I have found this to be a time and money saver, as the cost is still usually less than staying elsewhere and then having to find breakfast another place.
Since I sometimes travel alone, security both for myself, in my room, and for my vehicle is very important to me. Close to the Interstate sometimes means security trouble, but I've never known this to be a problem here.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The property faces the East, which means the rising sun in the mornings and mountain views. Quieter...

We stayed here for one night and was very impressed with the hotel decoration, cleanliness and very courteous staff. The bed was very comfortable. we got a good night sleep. One thing to keep in mind...our GPS kept routing us to the nearby Motel 8 which we avoided staying for a second time.

As another reviewer stated, a mini fridge would have been nice. Otherwise all was splendid. Excellent breakfast, pleasant staff, very near I25. No highway noise to bother us. We were very comfortable.

Room Tip: Ask for a 1st floor room for convenience.
