“Lovely local food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

We stayed at Mango Bay and Sokura was just up the road so we ate there a couple of times. There's a good choice of local food and Vietnamese wine, all at very reasonable prices.

“Great food at a great price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

This place is a must for those who venture into north Vietnam. The food is excellent and a bargain. Great veggie options as well ss fresh fish and meats. The food is packed full of flavour.
The service is pure Vietnam-slowly does it. But when you're on holiday, whats the rush?

“A must if you are staying in the northern part of the island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

We heard a lot about this place from tripadvisor and we were staying closeby at the Chen Sea Resort so wanted to check it out. The lady that runs the place is really nice and you will see quite a few foreigners who have found this little gem sining with you also. We have two young children so we asked the chef to tone down the spice on their dishes and she did so with no problem. We ordered green papaya salad, shrimp and pork spring rolls, chicken curry, fried rice with eggs and vegetables beer and mojitos as well as some vietnamese rum. Everything was great and the bill was aroung 400,000 Dong or $20. We took a taxi and made the mistake of telling him to come back to pick us up 1.5 hours later to take us back to the hotel. He never showed up. We were lucky as there were 2-3 other taxis just sitting there waiting for others to finish their meals (they had paid the drivers to wait). We grabbed one of these as out hotel was very close. But just be careful as you may have trouble getting back if you dont pay your driver to wait while you dine as there is really no traffic to and from this area. Overall a fantastic dining experiece at a fantastic price.

“Wonderful service, ok food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

We visited this restaurant from the reviews on Trip Advisor. It was quite a hike in the taxi to get out there. The service was wonderful and our host was lovely. The food was ok, I guess from the reviews on here I was expecting something amazing but sadly it wasn't for us. The food was good it just wasn't that good compared to many other meals we had in Vietnam.
