“A standart decent city hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Furniture is a bid old but good value for your money. Clean, neat and comfortable. Free WI-FI. Location is central, breakfast is OK. Seems like a standart city business hotel. You won't regret to stay there.

All food in the dining room was cold when it should have been hot. I talked with 3 people about this but nothing was done.
Could not adjust thermostat in room. Had to turn it on and off all night to control temperature.
Loud music woke up my wife & I at 3 am.
Our Executive Plus room indicated a "Daily" fruit plate, but only got it first day.
Housekeeping people on 8th floor having sex behind housekeeping door at 4pm on December 27, 2012. Told the front desk but nothing was done.

Room Tip: Don't visit this hotel

Rooms are basic standard, nothing special, but very ok. Beds are rather hard, but comfortable. Bathroom a little aged, but functional and all is clean. We had dinner at the hotel, a philippine band played almost exclusively for us. The food is ok too, however as we walked out of the hotel later, we would have preferred to eat in one of the many restaurants nearby. Turn left on main street there is a market square offering many places to eat which look good.
Later we decided to have a thai massage (2 of us) and it was very good. 400 baht per person.
Breakfast was very basic in my view...
Overall considering the prices, it is good value.

ON a road trip to the North East and North of Thailand decided to overnight at Khorat (Nakhon Ratchasima.) Found the Dusit Princess purely by accident.

Rooms: 1600 baht for a Business exec. Room which was comfortable and clean. Not a lot of frills, but all the comforts expected from the Dusit Chain of Hotels. We were happy enough.
Staff: warm and friendly, helpful and generous with their time.

Location: Not in the "Old Town" centre, but not far away. About 100 baht in a tuk tuk to the old town. Across the road is the University, and possibly the best and cheapest night market I have visited is located out the front gate and to the left 50 meters. Don't expect a lot of english from the locals.

Khorat: The gateway to Isaan is modernising. 4 hours drive NE of Bangkok, it is the location of Universities, Technical Schools, Medical schools etc. I really like Khorat: Cooler and fresher than Bangkok...

Best in town, great and attentive service, spacious rooms and free internet. Breakfast good too. The bathroom was a bit old though and needed to be refreshened.
Location is not central, you need a car or it's very uncomfortable.

We were there for only one night and had requested a room with a double bed. The room had a musty and smoky(cigarette) smell, the carpet was very old. The staff said it was the last room with a double bed, so we requested to change it and wouldn't mid a twin bed room. They moved us to an upper floor the air was much better. Nice and comfortable bed. However, the bathroom was small and not so clean, with molds around the bath/ shower area and cracked terracotta. I think this hotel needs an update.
However, the staff and the service were great. The breakfast was not bad too. The location is not right in the city, by very close and it was quiet, for a good sleep. Considering the limited choices you have in Korat, I think this is one of the better ones you can choose.
